Fancy Camp Clothes is an example of the first; Camp Armor and Pick Your Party Clothes manage what characters wear in particular scenes. These mods change presentation, not the game’s underlying combat or story.
Outfit collections add new looks; clothing utilities control when outfits appear
That distinction helps you pick the right mod. A clothing collection supplies items for characters to wear. A control utility changes outfit behavior—such as whether characters switch into camp clothes at night or which sets they display at the epilogue party.

Mod pages can change, so treat these descriptions as a starting point rather than a guarantee for every game build or platform. Check the current files, requirements, compatibility notes, and images before installing.
Fancy Camp Clothes adds a collection, with fit and save trade-offs
The Fancy Camp Clothes page describes mashups of existing game assets added as camp clothing. It lists 19 outfits and four necklace models, and notes that some outfits are limited to particular body types. Its images are the best way to judge whether the styles and supported characters match what you want.

The author warns that some pieces may clip, including while characters move. The page says items can be found through a pouch in the Tutorial Chest and specified traders. It also offers an optional file that converts camp clothes and shoes into armor and regular boots; the author recommends installing that file after the main mod.
Removal deserves special care: the author warns that uninstalling a mod that added items may prevent saves that used those items from loading. Follow the page’s current installation and removal instructions, and consider the save dependency before adding the collection to an ongoing playthrough.

Camp Armor’s page describes toggles for playable party members. Its camp toggle prevents characters from automatically changing into camp clothes at night, and a separate toggle controls their epilogue-party appearance. The page says it can be installed mid-playthrough, but also flags a file override that could conflict with other mods; check its current conflict and installation notes before use.
Pick Your Party Clothes: store looks for the epilogue
Spoiler warning: this mod concerns the game’s epilogue scenes. Pick Your Party Clothes stores armor or camp-clothing sets for companions and avatar characters to wear in those scenes. Its page describes multiplayer-save support and labels the mod as made for Patch 8 Hotfix 37, with possible earlier-patch compatibility. Those are the author’s stated details, not a guarantee that it works on every current setup.

The Camp Armor page points to Pick Your Party Clothes as an alternative for epilogue outfits and advises against using Camp Armor’s epilogue toggle when using the other utility. Avoid enabling both epilogue controls together unless their current documentation explicitly says they are compatible.

Patch 7 introduced Larian’s in-game Mod Manager and Toolkit. The official Modding Library is operated by mod.io, while Nexus hosts a separate set of BG3 mods. A Nexus listing filtered for Patch 8-compatible clothing is not proof that every file works on every platform or build; availability and compatibility vary by mod.

Larian’s mod support FAQ explains the Mod Manager and says supported mods can be updated from the Installed tab. The Modding Terms explain the official library’s relationship with mod.io, which has additional terms. For each mod, check:
- Patch and update: Compare the mod’s latest update date with the game patch or hotfix named on its page.
- Files and appearance: Review requirements, body-type support, screenshots, and whether the mod affects camp clothing, armor, or both.
- Installation and removal: Follow the listed load-order and removal directions. Item-adding mods can create dependencies in saves.
- Platform: Confirm that the mod is available on the platform where you play. For console use or cross-platform saves, Larian recommends checking console availability; do not assume a Nexus file is in the in-game manager or on consoles.
- Multiplayer: Larian says participants need the same mods at the same version.
The Toolkit is PC-only and requires 160 GB of space, according to Larian’s FAQ. That is relevant if you plan to create mods; it is not a prerequisite for simply choosing outfits through the game’s mod support.
How large is the outfit-mod scene?
Larian reported more than 8,500 mods and 265 million mod downloads since mod support launched in September 2024, according to PC Gamer’s August 5, 2025 report on a Larian blog post. Those totals cover mods broadly, not outfit mods specifically; no outfit-only count is established here.
