If you decide the current testing state suits you, purchase the game through Steam and install it using the options shown in the store page or Steam client. Steam’s listing describes Early Access as providing immediate access to the current build.

Intrepid’s pinned Steam discussion provides separate guides for “Steam Purchasers” and “Intrepid Purchasers.” Use the guide matching how you acquired access; do not assume one purchase route automatically grants the other entitlement.

Before downloading, compare your PC with the full Steam system requirements. The listed minimums include Windows 10/11, a 64-bit system, a discrete GTX 1070-class GPU or equivalent, 12 GB RAM, DirectX 12, broadband, 150 GB of available space and an internal SSD. The requirements recommend an internal M.2 NVMe SSD. Check every component; additional storage alone does not establish that a PC is compatible.
What should I expect from Alpha Two Early Access?
Ashes of Creation is in active Alpha Two testing. Intrepid’s Steam listing says, “Ashes of Creation is currently in active alpha testing, with many systems still in development and subject to significant change.” It warns that systems are incomplete and that players may encounter bugs, performance issues, balance changes, updates and realm wipes.
Steam’s Early Access guidance advises buyers to consider whether a game is worth playing in its current state. The listing does not set a specific Early Access end date. Beta One and Beta Two are described as planned later phases, not as stages with confirmed dates. Buy now if participating in an evolving test is appealing; otherwise, waiting avoids paying for a build whose state and schedule may change.

What are the PC requirements?
Steam lists a minimum of 12 GB RAM and 150 GB of available storage for Ashes of Creation; these are requirements, not performance benchmarks. It also specifies Windows 10/11, 64-bit, a discrete GTX 1070-class GPU or equivalent, DirectX 12, broadband and an internal SSD, with an internal M.2 NVMe drive recommended. Review the complete, current requirements on Steam before purchase or installation because meeting the storage figure alone does not guarantee that the rest of the system qualifies.
What is the Ashes of Creation PTR?
If Ashes of Creation appears in your Steam library, the developer’s Steam announcement feed says the separate “Ashes of Creation PTR” should also appear for owners. The PTR is intended for focused testing and may have more bugs and frequent character wipes. The announcement says testing information is generally shared through the official Discord. This is a dated announcement, not confirmation of the live PTR schedule or testing hours.
