- Four entries are titles of publications.
- Four entries are names or designations associated with James Bond films.
- Four words can go before “pop” to form music genres.

The groupings below are corroborated by Parade and TechRadar.
| Category | Words | Connection |
|---|---|---|
| YEARN | DESIRE, LONG, PINE, YEN | Each can express wanting or longing. |
| MAGAZINES | FORTUNE, MAD, NATURE, O | Each is a magazine title. |
| CHARACTERS IN BOND MOVIES | BOND, M, MONEYPENNY, Q | Each is a character or designation associated with the James Bond films. |
| WORDS THAT PRECEDE “POP” IN MUSIC GENRES | BUBBLEGUM, EURO, K, POWER | Each combines with “pop” to name a music genre. |
Why the groups can be tricky
Some entries are short or have more than one use
O is a magazine title, while M and Q are Bond character designations. Their brevity makes them easy to overlook when scanning for full words or ordinary names.

Connections uses different kinds of links
This board mixes meaning (YEARN), real-world publication identity (MAGAZINES), a fictional series connection (BOND MOVIES), and phrase completion (music genres ending in “pop”). When a familiar synonym set does not resolve the whole board, test whether another group depends on titles, initials, or a phrase formed by adding a shared word.
