Hints for Connections #702
The board has 16 words to sort into four groups of four. The NYT describes Connections as a game of finding shared links among words, including links that may seem to fit more than one category. These clues are arranged from broad to more revealing.
- Gentle nudge: One group concerns places where you can buy things; another is about pizza.
- Stronger clue: Look for words that end in colors, and for words that can precede the same kind of cleaner.
- Group clues: “Buy stuff here”; “Types of slice”; “Words with colorful endings”; and “Add a word that rhymes with ‘meaner.’” These clues were reported by TechRadar.

How to replay this puzzle
The New York Times Help Center says Connections is available on the NYT Games website, in the Games app, and in the News app. It describes the game as free to play on its platforms. The daily puzzle releases at midnight in the player’s timezone. For older boards, the Help Center says the archive is available to All Access or Games subscribers and goes back to June 12, 2023.
