How NYT Strands works
Parade reproduces gameplay instructions attributed to The New York Times: find theme words that fill the board; found theme words turn blue. Drag or tap letters to form a word, and if tapping, double-tap the final letter to submit. Theme words do not overlap. The spangram describes the theme, connects two opposite sides of the board, and turns yellow when found; it may consist of two words. Finding three non-theme words earns a hint, which reveals a theme word’s letters or, if a hint is already active, their order.
The answer set is corroborated by TechRadar and Parade. Their descriptions of the spangram’s route differ, so the exact path is not specified here.
