Today’s NYT Connections puzzle is game #972, released for Saturday, February 7, 2026. Start with the four hints below if you want a nudge; the full category names and tile answers follow after a spoiler warning.
Today’s Connections hints for February 7
The New York Times gives players 16 items to sort into four groups of four. The color order runs from Yellow, the easiest group, to Purple, the trickiest. The game has one solution, though some items may appear to fit more than one association.
- Yellow: Side of dice
- Green: Basic math
- Blue: Required for grammar
- Purple: Not uppercase
These clues point to different kinds of visual relationships: a number of pips, arithmetic glyphs, punctuation marks, and lowercase letterforms. In particular, keep the final hint’s case in mind.
