How the five-round puzzle’s feedback works
- Green: The letter is in the answer and in the correct position.
- Yellow: The letter is in the answer but in a different position.
- Gray: The letter is not in the answer.
Do not assume a letter appears the same number of times in the final answer as it was highlighted in earlier rounds; the guide cautions that earlier-round highlights do not establish the final word’s letter count.

“Hurdle” can also refer to Word Hurdle, a distinct six-letter daily puzzle hosted on Solitaired, according to Fortnite Insider. Its March 9, 2026 answers were:

Fortnite Insider’s account says this version allows up to six guesses, accepts American English guesses, and uses gray, yellow, and blue tile feedback. It also reports that Solitaired offered five-letter and four-letter variants. Those details are the outlet’s description, not confirmation from an official archived game page. The two games have different answer sets and rules, so use the five-word list above for the five-round puzzle, not the six-letter morning-and-afternoon game.
