College Football 25 Team Builder is a web tool, not a native phone app. EA’s current Help page says to use it on a desktop browser; phones, tablets, and Chromebooks are not supported. It lets players create or customize a school, publish it, and bring it into supported game modes—but current EA instructions cover the series broadly, so CFB25-specific editing availability should be checked on the live service.
What is College Football 25 Team Builder?
Team Builder is EA’s browser-based tool for creating a custom college football program. In its College Football 25 launch-era form, users could design a school’s identity, uniforms, stadium, and roster, then publish it for use in the game and share it with other players. It was not a standalone mobile app.

EA’s current Team Builder Help page says the tool requires an EA Account and an internet connection, and may also require a platform account. It says to access Team Builder at ea.com using a desktop browser, not a phone, tablet, or Chromebook. The page now describes the College Football series broadly and links to newer games; it does not establish that CFB25-specific editing remains available today.
How to use Team Builder
- Open Team Builder in a desktop browser. Go to ea.com, sign in with your EA Account, and do not use the tool while logged in to College Football, as EA’s Help instructions advise.
- Start a team. Choose an existing team to customize or create one from scratch.
- Work through the sections. Set up Brand, Uniforms, Stadium, Program, and Roster. Review the team, save and submit it, then confirm the choices on the summary screen.
- Publish and import it in-game. EA’s current Help overview names Play Now, Dynasty, and Road to Glory as destinations. Available modes can vary by game version, so check the instructions for the specific title you are playing.
What could you customize in CFB25?
EA’s College Football 25 Team Builder deep dive described a wide-ranging editor. These are CFB25-era features, not a guarantee that every option is identical in later games.

Brand and school identity
Users could set the school name, nickname, logos, uniform provider, and colors. EA described primary, secondary, and tertiary logos: the primary mark appeared in Dynasty menus, while other marks could be placed on uniforms or the field. CFB25 offered Nike, Adidas, and Under Armour providers; a selection affected available equipment, fonts, and uniform stitching. Color controls included hue, saturation, brightness, Hex, and RGB values.
Uniforms and equipment
The CFB25 editor allowed up to five presets each for helmets, jerseys, pants, and socks. EA described this as “625 uniform combinations” in 2024. Users could change colors and finishes, add custom image layers, and duplicate an existing uniform to make an alternate. Helmet finishes included matte, shiny, and chrome, alongside accessory colors, stripes, numbers, and custom layers; EA described up to seven custom layers on a helmet. Jersey options depended on the selected provider’s chassis, including available stripes, designs, cuffs, collars, and fonts.

Stadium and field
EA listed eight stadium areas to customize: stadium, crowd, surface, logos, end zone, numbers, sidelines, and benches. In the CFB25 guide, users could choose and rename one of 134 existing team stadiums, recolor the crowd and field, add field logos and custom layers, and change end-zone designs and field markings.
Program and roster
The CFB25 deep dive described playbook selection and seven generic roster types that users could further adjust. EA’s current Help page also lists program and roster customization, including player details and ratings, but its series-wide instructions should not be read as confirmation that every current option exists in CFB25.

Publishing and community teams
After reviewing and submitting a design, players could publish it and browse community creations in the console’s Download Center. EA’s launch guide described featured creations, searches by keyword, creator, or content, previews, and a way to report offensive material.
CFB25 Dynasty import rules
For College Football 25 specifically, EA’s launch-era documentation limited custom-team use in Dynasty to a private cloud Dynasty. A league could contain up to 16 custom teams. Only the commissioner could import them, and importing was possible only at the start of a new league season.

An imported team took on certain properties of the team it replaced, including rivalries, staff unless replaced, My School grades, and records. These are the original CFB25 rules documented by EA; they should not be assumed to apply unchanged to another game or a current service.

October 24, 2024: Adobe Express integration
EA’s October 24, 2024 title update added an optional Adobe Express workflow to Team Builder’s logos page. Users could choose “Create with Adobe Express,” create or sign in to an Adobe account, make a logo or design, then save the image back into Team Builder. The update said the workflow required internet access and Adobe and EA accounts, and offered up to 25 credits toward logo generation.

Adobe’s announcement also described access to Adobe Stock assets, icons and design elements, user-uploaded imagery, and Firefly-powered design generation. Adobe said the collaboration brought Adobe Express to “over one million users in Team Builder”; that was an announcement-era audience figure, not a current usage count.
College Football 26: beta status and performance
EA said Team Builder had launched as a beta with CFB25. For CFB26, the tool left beta, received a redesigned site, and improved rendering and site performance. EA called it “2X faster”; that is EA’s own claim, not an independent benchmark. Details are in EA’s College Football 26 Team Builder deep dive.
College Football 26: image limits and team carryover
EA said CFB25 teams were limited to 10 custom images. CFB26 replaced that count with a 5 MB per-team upload limit, so the number of images and textures depends on their combined file size. EA also said players could import their CFB25 teams into CFB26, review flags for assets or details that did not carry over, make adjustments, and republish the team.
College Football 26: deeper editing
EA described a dedicated roster-editing tab, live overall, offensive, and defensive team ratings, and expanded options for player bios, skills, abilities, pipelines, rivalries, and stadiums. These are CFB26 additions in EA’s account, not CFB25 features.

Is CFB25 Team Builder still available?
EA’s current Help page explains how to use Team Builder across the series, while EA’s CFB26 materials document importing CFB25 teams into CFB26. Neither establishes that users can currently create or edit a team specifically for CFB25. Check EA’s live Team Builder service and the relevant game’s in-game import options before relying on CFB25 access or Dynasty rules.
