When did Honkai: Star Rail Version 3.6 release?
HoYoverse’s official Version 3.6 update notice, published September 24, 2025, said the update began at 06:00 (UTC+8) that day and estimated maintenance would take approximately five hours. That was an announced estimate, not a guarantee of the actual downtime.
The update was titled “Back to Earth in Evernight.” HoYoverse introduced its story with the line, “As night wanes and dawn approaches, the outlanders march on without rest across the earth.”

Evernight
Evernight is an Ice character on the Remembrance path. HoYoverse described her as a damage dealer who summons the memosprite Evey and increases allied memosprites’ damage. Her Ultimate activates “Darkest Riddle”; when Memoria reaches the required conditions, Evey can act immediately and spend its HP to attack.
Dan Heng • Permansor Terrae
Dan Heng • Permansor Terrae is a Physical character on the Preservation path. He summons a Souldragon for one ally and boosts that ally’s ATK, while also providing stackable shields to multiple allies. HoYoverse also noted that the Souldragon can perform a follow-up attack when enhanced.

What banners and Light Cones did the update announce?

HoYoverse’s HoYoLAB recap of the Version 3.6 Special Program, published September 12, 2025, gives the expiration time as September 13, 2025, at 23:59 (UTC+8). The codes expired eleven days before Version 3.6 launched.

What else did Version 3.6 add?
Beyond its characters and story, the update announced new areas, activities, equipment, and interface features. The events and eligibility windows described in the notice were limited-time; those windows have since closed.
