When did Phantasmal Flames come out?
The Pokémon Company International announced the expansion’s release for November 14, 2025. Its official launch announcement confirms that the set is available in a variety of products.
How many cards are in the set, and what does it feature?
Pokémon says Phantasmal Flames contains over 120 cards. The company highlights new Mega Evolution Pokémon ex, including Mega Charizard X ex, and its product showcase also features Mega Gengar ex. The expansion includes Trainer cards and more than 15 Pokémon and Trainer cards with special illustrations, according to the launch announcement.

Were there launch promo cards?
Yes. Pokémon’s October 31, 2025 retailer promotion announcement described offers beginning November 14 while supplies lasted. In the United States, it listed Suicune at GameStop, Reshiram at Hot Topic and Barnes & Noble, and Genesect at Best Buy. It also named EB Games in Canada, Australia, and New Zealand for Suicune; Mr Toys and Toymate in Australia and JB Hi-Fi in New Zealand for Genesect. Those details describe the launch period and do not establish that any offer remains available.
