The First Descendant’s global launch was set for July 2, 2024, at 00:00 PDT. Nexon said at launch that it planned monthly content updates and seasons of roughly three months, preceded by an approximately two-month pre-season. These were the cadence announced in 2024, not a guarantee that every update would arrive at an exact monthly interval. In an August 22, 2024 developer note, Nexon outlined Invasion as three updates released sequentially rather than one simultaneous content drop. The dates and highlights in the table are the announced schedule.

Hailey in the first update
Hailey was the new Descendant listed for the August 29 update, alongside the Invasion Dungeon and other season content.
Ultimate Freyna in the third update
The October 10 update was scheduled to add Ultimate Freyna and story content exclusive to her. The schedule did not list a new standard Descendant for its second update; its named additions included Death Stalker and Frost Watcher.
What the roadmap says—and what it does not
The clearest takeaway from the 2024 announcements is the difference between Nexon’s broad cadence and its specific Season 1 plan: monthly updates and roughly three-month seasons were the general expectation, while Invasion was assigned three staggered update dates.
