In Fisch, Magic Thread is a rod-crafting ingredient. The reported ways to get it are fishing anywhere and opening treasure chests; to use it, bring it with a rod’s other materials to the Crafting Altar in the Ancient Archives. The recipes and access requirements below come from community-maintained wiki pages updated September 25, 2026, so check the recipe in-game before gathering materials.
How do you get Magic Thread in Fisch?
The Magic Thread item page lists two acquisition routes: fish anywhere or open treasure chests. Neither route guarantees a drop.
That page also reports a 6% fishing chance (described as 1 in 16.67) and a 15.9% chance from treasure chests. These are community-wiki figures, not official or independently verified drop rates; actual results may differ, so use current in-game behavior as your guide.
What is Magic Thread used for in Fisch?
Magic Thread is a crafting ingredient for rods, not a rod you equip or general-purpose thread. The Craftable Rods page lists six rods that require one Magic Thread apiece:

This is one recipe example, not a claim that the Seasons Rod is the best choice. The listed rods have different level requirements and materials; the cited recipe information does not establish a performance ranking.
