Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problems2Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitches3Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errorsTo beat the Hanged Man, split the work: one player carries the cube and stays alive while the other three focus the boss’s mouth weak point during its enraged attack. The cube-and-tube mechanic creates the wipe pressure; ignoring it or failing to break the mouth beam in time can end the fight for the whole team.
Nexon describes Void Intercept Battles as encounters for up to four players and recommends building around each Colossus’s weak points. The boss-specific mechanics below are reported by a secondary guide and a July 2024 player post, so confirm details against the encounter as it appears in your current game version.
How the Hanged Man fight works
The Hanged Man is a team encounter, not a damage race that each player can approach independently. In the boss-specific guides, liquid rises in the arena tubes; when the meter fills, the team is wiped. The cube is part of managing that pressure and triggering the boss’s enraged phase. The sources reviewed do not establish the exact current trigger timing, so watch the in-game indicators rather than relying on a fixed timer.
The Gamezebo guide reports that the boss becomes invulnerable to ordinary damage during the enraged phase. The team must break the beam-like weak point at its mouth before the attack finishes; otherwise, the guide says, the Hanged Man unleashes a large area-of-effect attack.

Assign roles before starting
Cube carrier
Choose one player to pick up and retain the cube, prioritizing survival over attacking the boss. A July 16, 2024 Steam Community post reports that carrying it can slow the player and that enemy adds can hit them and cause them to lose it. The carrier should keep clear of danger and communicate if the cube is dropped or needs to be recovered.
Weak-point attackers
The other players should keep pressure on the boss and be ready to target its mouth when it enters the enraged phase. The Gamezebo guide recommends attacking weak points even outside that phase, but the mouth beam is especially urgent while normal damage is unavailable. Ranged weapons can make it easier to land shots on a suspended, moving target, according to that guide.
Beat the Hanged Man step by step
- Agree on roles. Before the fight, designate the cube carrier and make sure the other players know to focus the boss’s weak point when the enraged phase begins.
- Watch the tubes. Keep an eye on the liquid and meter indicators in the arena. The Gamezebo guide links a full meter with a team wipe; do not assume an exact eight-minute limit is current, because that timing is not confirmed by the official guide reviewed.
- Keep the cube carrier safe. The carrier should hold onto the cube and avoid unnecessary fights with adds. The Steam player post says the cube should be held when the mouth tube is broken so the liquid can drain; treat this as player-reported guidance, not an official mechanic description.
- Break the mouth weak point during the enraged attack. When the Hanged Man starts charging its attack, the damage-dealing players should concentrate fire on the mouth beam. Break it before the charge completes to prevent the reported area attack.
- Return to normal damage and repeat. The Steam post says that returning the cube to the center restores normal damage. Continue dealing damage, monitoring the tubes, and coordinating the next cycle as the encounter demands.
Prepare a loadout for the fight
Nexon’s general game guide recommends identifying a Colossus’s weak points and choosing attributes, weapons, and modules to suit the battle. It also advises improving weapons, Reactors, External Components, and Descendant and Weapon Modules as part of character growth. Apply those general principles, then check the Hanged Man’s current in-game matchup information before committing to an elemental setup.
The Gamezebo guide reports that the Hanged Man uses Electric attacks, resists Electric and Fire, and is weak to Toxic, and it suggests Toxic-focused Descendants or modules. That matchup is secondary-source information, not a current official matchup table confirmed here. If the in-game information differs, follow the current encounter data.

- The tube meter fills: assign a carrier and keep track of the arena indicators instead of treating the fight as a boss-only damage check.
- The cube is dropped: the carrier may be slowed or hit by adds, according to the July 2024 player post. Keep the carrier protected and have the team respond quickly if the cube is lost.
- The enraged attack completes: make sure attackers stop splitting their attention and focus the mouth beam while the boss is charging.
- Shots miss the weak point: the Gamezebo guide recommends medium- or long-range weapons for the suspended, moving boss; prioritize accurate weak-point hits over spraying at the body.
- The team does too little damage: check current in-game weak-point and attribute information, then adjust attributes, weapons, and modules in line with Nexon’s general Colossus advice.
Which team plan should you use?
The sources reviewed do not verify alternate routes through the encounter. The practical plan is to assign one carrier and let the rest of the team handle damage, then assess whether the group can keep that carrier alive and break the mouth weak point before the charge completes. A team struggling with either task should adjust roles, survivability, or accuracy rather than assume an unverified shortcut exists.
