Choose Peak Patrol Song for its DEF and team damage bonus, or Favonius Sword when the party needs energy; build enough Energy Recharge for the Burst frequency you want, then prioritize DEF. In a typical support rotation, use her Skill, complete the required Normal Attacks to activate her effects, and swap to your damage dealer.
What Xilonen does in a support build
Xilonen is a five-star Geo sword character whose most common role is off-field support. Her Skill and Nightsoul mechanics enable resistance reduction for applicable team elements, while her Burst can provide healing under the relevant kit conditions. Her support value depends on the elements and needs of the party, so no single weapon, stat target, or team is best for every account.
HoYoverse’s historical Version 5.1 update details describe her entering Nightsoul’s Blessing and switching to Blade Roller mode after using her Elemental Skill. For current build and team context, the guides reviewed by Mobalytics, GameWith, and Icy Veins are more recent than that original kit announcement.
Support rotation
- Use Xilonen’s Elemental Skill to enter her Nightsoul state.
- Use the required Normal Attacks to fill the Nightsoul bar and activate the relevant Source Sample effects. GameWith describes the usual support sequence as Skill followed by two Normal Attacks.
- Swap to the on-field damage dealer so the team can use the support effects.
The exact setup and value depend on the team and rotation. Her short support sequence makes her a flexible option, but current guides caution that specialized supports can be better for particular damage archetypes.

Peak Patrol Song is her signature support weapon, but it is not required. Choose based on what the team needs: a team damage bonus, energy generation, DEF, or an accessible stopgap. These are guide recommendations, not universal rankings.

For a practical choice, ask whether the team needs Favonius particles more than Peak Patrol Song’s damage bonus, whether Xilonen needs her Burst each rotation, and whether you have a useful DEF or craftable option. Icy Veins’ Xilonen guide provides the weapon comparisons.
Best artifacts and stats
Default set: Scroll of the Hero of Cinder City
Use four-piece Scroll when Xilonen can trigger a qualifying reaction as a Natlan character and the team can benefit from its elemental damage bonus. Icy Veins’ guide, updated for version 6.7, describes the four-piece effect as a 12% elemental damage bonus after a qualifying reaction, with an additional 28% while the wearer is in Nightsoul’s Blessing. These are in-game artifact effect values, not predicted damage gains for a particular team. Duplicate effects from this set do not stack, so avoid assigning it to Xilonen if another party member already supplies the same set effect.
Alternatives
- Instructor: Consider it for reaction teams, especially Vaporize or Melt teams that can use Elemental Mastery.
- Archaic Petra: Can provide a damage bonus after Xilonen collects an appropriate Crystallize shard.
Mobalytics also points to Instructor or Petra when another Nightsoul user already wears Scroll. Check whether the team can reliably activate an alternative set’s effect before choosing it.

Main stats and substats
- Sands: Energy Recharge or DEF, depending on Burst needs.
- Goblet: DEF.
- Circlet: DEF, or Crit Rate when using Favonius Sword.
- Substat priority: Energy Recharge, then DEF; prioritize enough Crit Rate for Favonius triggers. Flat DEF is a lower-priority useful stat.
Energy Recharge and DEF do different jobs: ER helps meet the Burst frequency you want, while DEF supports healing and personal damage. There is no single ER target established for every build; requirements vary with weapon, team, and how often you use her Burst. These stat recommendations are summarized in Icy Veins’ build guide.
Talents to level
- Elemental Skill: Prioritize this for a support build because it is central to her support setup.
- Elemental Burst: Level it for the healing and utility you use in your team.
- Normal Attack: Usually the lowest priority unless you plan to use Xilonen on field.
Teams: when to use Xilonen
Use her where resistance reduction, elemental damage bonuses, and healing address the party’s needs together. Current Mobalytics examples include Mavuika/Arlecchino Melt teams, Mualani Vaporize, and Lohen with Durin. The guide also discusses possible teams with newer Stellar-Conduct on-fielders such as Flins or Sandrone, while cautioning that Xilonen may not be the best option without C2. These are guide assessments rather than official rankings, and team strength depends on the roster and game patch.

- Does her healing help with survival or the team’s mechanics?
- Can the rotation activate her support effects without keeping her on field too long?
- Is another party member already using Scroll of the Hero of Cinder City?
- Would a more specialized support better serve this exact damage archetype?
