You can skip cinematics in God of War Ragnarök during New Game+ (NG+). The game’s official Patch 04.00 notes do not describe cutscene skipping for a first playthrough. To unlock NG+, you need a save file with the Main Story Quest completed.
How to skip a cutscene in New Game+

Load a save file on which you have completed the Main Story Quest.

Start a New Game+ run from the game’s available NG+ option.

When a cinematic can be skipped, use the on-screen prompt. Santa Monica Studio confirms that cinematics are skippable in NG+ but does not specify one universal button or key in its Patch 04.00 notes, published April 11, 2023.

Can you skip cutscenes on a first playthrough?
The official Patch 04.00 notes establish skipping for NG+ only; they do not describe it as an option during a first playthrough. If you are playing the story for the first time and no skip prompt appears, the official information reviewed here does not provide a way to bypass that cinematic.

Look for the prompt displayed in the game instead of relying on a button name from another player. The official patch notes do not identify a universal input, and PlayStation documents customizable controls in its accessibility options.
