When did Honkai: Star Rail 3.0 come out?
HoYoverse scheduled Version 3.0 maintenance to begin January 15, 2025, at 06:00 UTC+8, with an estimated duration of five hours. The January 13 announcement on the PlayStation Blog also gave January 15 as the launch date. As with any maintenance window, the estimate was not a guarantee of the exact time servers reopened. The official Version 3.0 Special Program listing also corroborated the January 15 update date.
The update was called Paean of Era Nova and opened the Amphoreus chapter, with the Trailblaze Mission “Heroic Saga of Flame-Chase.” HoYoverse’s overview described the Amphoreus story as spanning versions 3.0 through 3.7, rather than concluding in this update.
What were the Version 3.0 banners?
Version 3.0 had two banner phases. The character lineups were confirmed in HoYoverse’s official overview; the date ranges below are from PC Gamer’s retrospective banner calendar, a secondary source.

The first banner window’s January 14 start is not the global update date: banner schedules can reflect server time, so dates may fall on a different calendar day than the update launch in a given region. These were limited banners from 2025 and are no longer current availability information.
The Herta and Aglaea
The Herta was a new 5-star Ice character on the Erudition Path. Her combat kit applies Interpretation stacks. Aglaea was a new limited 5-star Remembrance character who fights alongside her memosprite, Garmentmaker. These are launch descriptions, not current tier rankings or recommendations.
What events and rewards were in Version 3.0?
The official Version 3.0 update notice promoted a seven-day check-in campaign that awarded 10 Star Rail Special Passes after seven days. It also covered limited-time activities alongside the permanent story content. Event end times were stated in server time; their availability was confined to the 2025 update period and should not be treated as current.

The update introduced Amphoreus, described as an “Eternal Land,” and its Chrysos Heirs and Titans. The official PlayStation overview highlighted the exploration areas Abyss of Fate, Okhema, Castrum Kremnos, and Vortex of Genesis, as well as the Hand of Zagreus exploration mechanic.

What else did Version 3.0 add?
- Remembrance Trailblazer: The Trailblazer gained access to the Remembrance Path, with Mem as a battle companion.
- March 7th outfit: The update overview noted a Preservation outfit for March 7th.
- Relic stat tools: Wishful Resin and Variable Dice were introduced for relic stat modification.
- Leveling Guide: The update included a Leveling Guide feature.
- Amphoreus access: Players could reach the new area after completing the “Silent Galaxy” mission.
For character mechanics, The Herta’s Interpretation stacks and Aglaea’s partnership with Garmentmaker were among the new combat details described at launch; the update’s overview is not a substitute for current build advice.
