For most accounts, the best all-around Boothill team is Boothill, Fugue, Ruan Mei, and Gallagher. It pairs Boothill’s single-target Break damage with faster Pocket Trickshot setup, Break support, and a healer who also contributes to Break. If you can manage without dedicated healing, replacing Gallagher with Sunday is a higher-output option; it is not the safer default.
Ranked Boothill teams
This is a practical ranking by common team-building needs, not an official leaderboard or a controlled comparison of every account setup. Boothill is a single-target Break damage dealer, so his teammates should help him reach Break sooner, improve his Break damage, or keep him alive while he builds momentum. Your roster, enemy weaknesses, turn order, and endgame mode can change which lineup fits best.
1. Boothill / Fugue / Ruan Mei / Gallagher — best all-around
Fugue helps Boothill build Pocket Trickshots faster and can create another Break opportunity. Ruan Mei strengthens the team’s Break performance, while Gallagher supplies healing and Break utility. This is the best general-purpose choice when you want synergy without giving up a sustain slot; Gallagher’s four-star status can also make the lineup practical for more rosters.
2. Boothill / Fugue / Ruan Mei / Sunday — high-output, sustainless
Sunday replaces Gallagher and can give Boothill more actions, helping reduce the time needed to set up his single-target damage. Choose this if you are comfortable handling incoming damage without a dedicated healer or shielder. Its damage-focused support comes with a clear survival trade-off, so the fight and your confidence in avoiding damage matter.

3. Boothill / Fugue / Sunday / Gallagher — action advance with safety
This lineup keeps Gallagher’s healing while using Sunday to accelerate Boothill’s turns. It gives up Ruan Mei’s Break support, making it a useful alternative when more actions and a sustain slot matter more to you than that additional Break amplification.
4. Boothill / The Dahlia / Ruan Mei / Gallagher — Break-focused alternative
The Dahlia can enable Super Break before enemies are fully broken and boost Boothill’s speed and Weakness Break efficiency. Pairing her with Ruan Mei and Gallagher preserves both Break support and healing. This is a strong alternative if you own The Dahlia and want to lean into Break.
5. Boothill / Harmony Trailblazer / Ruan Mei / Gallagher — accessible fallback
Harmony Trailblazer adds Break Effect and Super Break damage, while Ruan Mei helps the team break enemies faster. This keeps a sustain slot and can use a support option available to many accounts, though its payoff may take longer to realize than a lineup built around action advance.

What each support contributes
- Fugue: Helps Boothill build Pocket Trickshots more quickly, can enable another Break on a target, and improves reliability against enemies without Physical Weakness. The fastest stack result is conditional: Boothill must deal enough Toughness damage to break both bars and secure the kill.
- Ruan Mei: A strong general Break support, contributing Weakness Break efficiency, Break Effect, speed, and enemy delay after Break.
- Sunday or Bronya: Action advance can give Boothill more turns and ease his ramp-up. Build either at -1 Speed relative to Boothill, as recommended by Prydwen; Sunday is preferred there when available. Bronya can use more skill points, so consider how much the rest of the team needs to spend.
- The Dahlia: An alternative Break support, particularly useful for enabling Super Break before an enemy is fully broken.
- Gallagher: A practical sustain who brings healing and Break utility while helping control skill-point demands. Aventurine is another flexible sustain option; choose between them based on your account and the encounter.
- Silver Wolf: A situational choice for weakness implantation and defense reduction, especially against a target without Physical Weakness.
How to choose for your roster and game mode
Compare the options by five practical factors: Break amplification, Boothill’s ramp-up speed, survivability, skill-point economy, and which characters you own. Decide which factor is most important for the fight rather than treating one ranking as universal.

Prydwen describes Memory of Chaos as valuing blast and single-target damage, Pure Fiction as favoring AoE, and Apocalyptic Shadow as valuing single-target damage and Break. Those priorities are another reason a team that works well for Boothill in one mode may not be the best fit in another.
