At Silion in Albion, you can dismantle unwanted Modules, enhance useful ones, or combine four Modules into a new one. Matching a Module’s socket type can lower its Capacity Cost, but assigning a socket requires a level reset—so check the trade-off before using a Crystallization Catalyst.
The core procedures below come from Nexon’s official Module guide, dated September 6, 2023, which was written for the Crossplay Open Beta and warns that details could change at launch. Nexon support articles provide later confirmation for socket assignment and the Module Settings Implant feature.
How to equip Modules and save a build
Module settings are separate for each Descendant and weapon. Changing one character’s setup does not automatically change another’s, and weapon settings are managed separately from Descendant settings.
- For your active Descendant: Open Inventory (I) and select Descendant Module.
- For another owned Descendant: Open Descendants (H) > Descendant List (G) > choose the Descendant > Details (P) > Module Settings.
- For a weapon: Open its Module Settings from the weapon screen or inventory.
- Choose Modules that fit the available slots and Capacity. Check group restrictions: the official guide says only one Module from a given group can be equipped at a time.
- Select Save before leaving. Unsaved changes revert when you exit.
How Capacity and socket matching work
Capacity limits the total cost of the Modules you equip. Mastery Rank increases slots and Capacity, while an Energy Activator gives one Max Capacity increase to a weapon or Descendant. The official guide describes that Activator increase as one-time for each eligible weapon or Descendant.

Each Module has a socket type. A matching socket reduces that Module’s Capacity Cost; a mismatch raises it. In Nexon’s example, a Module with a base cost of 2 costs 1 in a matching socket and 3 in a mismatched one. Treat this as the guide’s example, not a universal cost for every Module.
Enhanced Sub Modules can also increase a Descendant’s Max Module Capacity. Skill Modules are different: they modify Descendant abilities, rather than functioning as ordinary weapon Modules. The guide describes separate Sub and Skill slots for Descendants.

How to dismantle and enhance Modules
Dismantle unwanted Modules
Visit Silion in Albion to dismantle duplicate or unwanted Modules for Kuiper Shards. This gives you a way to turn spare Modules into a resource used for enhancement.
Enhance useful Modules
At Silion, enhancement uses Gold and Kuiper Shards. The official guide says enhancement does not fail, but it also increases the Module’s stats and its Capacity Cost. Weigh the stat improvement against the extra Capacity the enhanced Module will use in your build.

Enhancement level is limited by Mastery Rank. The 2023 Crossplay Open Beta guide gives a maximum enhancement level of 10; because that guide predates launch, check the live game’s enhancement screen for current limits and costs.
How to combine (transmute) Modules
The game’s official guide calls this operation Combining Modules. If you mean “transmute,” this is the documented operation: at Mastery Rank 5 or higher, use Silion in Albion to combine four Modules and pay Gold.

The combine action succeeds, but that does not guarantee a particular Module. The resulting Module is affected by the input Modules’ tier, type, and socket type. Choose inputs with the understanding that the output is not a selectable, guaranteed result.

Assigning a socket can make a matching Module cheaper to equip, but it is a progression commitment. Nexon’s official guide and support article state that you need a Descendant at level 40 or a weapon at Proficiency level 40, plus a Crystallization Catalyst. Use Module Additional Settings to assign the socket. The assignment resets the Descendant or weapon to level 1; to assign another socket, level it back to 40 first.

Before spending the Catalyst, compare the Capacity saved by the socket with the cost of re-leveling and the fact that the socket is tied to a particular setup. A socket match is useful when it supports a build you intend to use, but it is not automatically worth assigning for every Module.
How Module Settings Implant works for Ultimate Descendants
Nexon support documents a later feature called Module Settings Implant. At Prime Hands in Albion, it transfers capacity and assigned socket settings from a Normal Descendant to its Ultimate counterpart in the same group.
- You must own both the Normal Descendant and its Ultimate counterpart.
- The Normal Descendant must have a capacity increase or socket assignment to transfer, and you need a Photon Imprinter.
- The transfer cannot be reversed and cannot be performed from an Ultimate Descendant to a Normal one.
- If the Ultimate Descendant’s capacity is insufficient, Modules may be unequipped during the transfer.
- Nexon support notes that some consumables may be returned under its specified conditions for duplicate settings.
Check the in-game confirmation carefully before proceeding, since the transfer is one-way.
How to choose Modules for a build
There is no single best Module setup for every Descendant or weapon. Make decisions around the character or weapon you are building and the setup you want to use:

- Enhancement versus Capacity: Compare the stat gain with the higher Capacity Cost that comes with enhancing a Module.
- Socket savings versus reset: Estimate the value of a matching socket’s lower cost against the Catalyst and level reset required to assign it.
The official guide’s procedures were published for the Crossplay Open Beta, so details other than those confirmed in later support pages may have changed in the live game. Use the current in-game labels and costs when they differ.
