To reach it, start at the Snow-Veiled Trail shrine, take the snowy path to the right, cross the bridge, and follow the route to the large gate. You can visit and activate the hall’s shrine before its hidden route is available; Mount Mei opens only after you complete the required optional content and progress further in the story.
How to find the Great Pagoda
- Reach the Snow-Veiled Trail shrine in the Pagoda Realm in Chapter 3.
- From the shrine, take the snowy path to the right. Do not climb the stairs.
- Cross the bridge and continue along the path until you reach the large gate.
- Go through the gate into the Great Pagoda and activate the shrine inside so you can return easily.
The route is a late-Chapter 3 destination, reached after climbing through the Pagoda Realm and defeating Captain Wise-Voice, according to the PowerPyx Mount Mei guide and the Shacknews Great Pagoda guide.

What the Great Pagoda is for
The hall is both a place to save and a visual record of your progress: chapter murals appear as you complete chapters. Its central wall area is also connected to the hidden route. The murals work as progress markers and a clue to the route, but the available guides do not establish a definitive lore explanation for every image.
As Shacknews guide author Aidan O’Brien puts it, “The Great Pagoda is essentially a record of your adventures.”

First visit versus the Mount Mei return visit
On your first visit
You can enter the hall and activate its shrine before the secret route is unlocked. If the room seems empty or the route does not trigger, that is expected: reaching the Pagoda is not the same as meeting the hidden-route requirements.
After completing the optional content
To open the route, complete the Chapter 3 Treasure Hunter quest and clear the secret areas in Chapters 1, 2, 4, and 5:

Guides differ on whether reaching Chapter 6 is a separate prerequisite: Gamer Guides lists it, while PowerPyx emphasizes the quest and four secret areas. The cautious approach is to finish those optional steps, progress to Chapter 6, then return to the Great Pagoda. At the back wall, look for the NPC and speak with them; the encounter takes you to Mount Mei.
