To get Shiny Meloetta in Pokémon HOME, complete the Paldea, Kitakami, and Blueberry Pokédexes in Pokémon HOME, confirm they show as complete in the app’s Games tab, then claim the gift through Mystery Gifts in the mobile app. You need a linked Nintendo Account, and the gift can be received once per account.
What you need to complete
The reward is tied to three Pokémon HOME software Pokédexes associated with Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet: Paldea, Kitakami, and Blueberry. Completing the Pokédexes in the games themselves is not the stated requirement; HOME must record the three software Pokédexes as complete. See the official Pokémon HOME feature page and Pokémon Company announcement.
The Paldea Pokédex is associated with Scarlet and Violet. Kitakami and Blueberry correspond to the areas introduced in The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero expansion for those games. You still make the completion check and claim the reward in Pokémon HOME.
How to claim Shiny Meloetta
- Set up Pokémon HOME on mobile. Sign in using the Nintendo Account you intend to use for the gift. Mystery Gifts are received in the mobile app, and a linked Nintendo Account is required.
- Complete all three HOME Pokédexes. Make sure the Paldea, Kitakami, and Blueberry software Pokédexes in Pokémon HOME are complete.
- Verify completion in the Games tab. Open the Games tab in HOME and confirm the relevant Pokédexes are registered as complete. The official announcement specifically calls for this confirmation.
- Claim the gift on mobile. In the Pokémon HOME mobile app, open Mystery Gifts and receive Shiny Meloetta.
For Pokémon’s app-side directions, see its Mystery Gift instructions.

If Shiny Meloetta does not appear
- Check HOME’s record, not just the game’s Pokédex. The reward condition is completion recorded in Pokémon HOME. Verify the three entries in the Games tab.
- Check all three regions. A complete Paldea Pokédex alone is not enough; Kitakami and Blueberry must also be complete.
- Use the mobile app and the intended Nintendo Account. The Mystery Gifts claim is a mobile-app feature, and the account must be linked. Each gift can be received once per Nintendo Account.
- Remember that earlier completion counts. The official announcement says players who had already completed all three Pokédexes remain eligible; you do not need to complete them again.
Official materials identify the three HOME software Pokédexes as the requirement, but do not clearly specify whether Pokémon transferred from other games count in every case or must originate in Scarlet or Violet. They do not establish a requirement to catch every Pokémon in Scarlet or Violet, so do not assume that is necessary—or that every transfer will count.

The official sources cited here do not state a deadline. That does not guarantee the gift will remain available indefinitely, so check the current Mystery Gifts screen and official Pokémon announcements if you are claiming it later.
