In Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 1, find a Sprite Shrine, interact with it to reveal nearby Sprites, then search the marked area and pick up a Sprite. Shrines were a search aid, not a guarantee of an exact spawn: Sprites wandered around the island, often away from named locations.
How to find and catch a Sprite
- Look for a Sprite Shrine. Shrines were scattered around the island. The Polygon Chapter 6 Season 1 guide describes them as a way to locate nearby Sprites.
- Interact with the Shrine. Use its reveal interaction to mark nearby Sprites.
- Search the marked area. Sprites wandered, so follow the marker as a lead rather than expecting one at an exact spot. Pick up the Sprite when you find it.
- Choose the type that suits your need. Air provides movement utility, Water offers healing, and Earth exchanges items for a reward.
The available guide does not establish exact spawn probabilities, a complete list of fixed coordinates, or platform-specific pickup button prompts.
What each Sprite did
| Sprite | Chapter 6 Season 1 function |
|---|---|
| Air | Created an updraft when thrown. |
| Water | Created a healing fountain when thrown. |
| Earth | Consumed items in exchange for a reward. |
Epic’s Earth Sprite Creative-device documentation describes configurable exchange behavior for Creative. Those device settings are not Battle Royale rules.
Are Sprite Shrines still available?
This Shrine method is specific to Chapter 6 Season 1 and should be treated as historical. Epic’s current Fortnite support page describes Sprites as a mechanic introduced in update v41.00 and says players can find and equip them during matches; it does not confirm that the Chapter 6 Season 1 Shrine locations or interactions remain available. A secondary Fortnite Wiki entry reports that Sprite Shrines were removed on August 7, 2025. Check the current in-game map and information for the season you are playing.
