In the original Roblox experience Grow a Garden, the reported way to get the crop effect commonly called the Eclipse mutation is to keep crops in your garden during Solar Eclipse weather. The effect is listed as Eclipsed in a crop mutation table. It is chance-based, so the event does not guarantee that every crop will mutate.
How to get the Eclipse mutation
- Check that you are playing the original game. Roblox lists Grow a Garden as an experience created by The Garden Game, centered on planting and harvesting crops.
- Watch for Solar Eclipse weather. The community weather reference describes the sky darkening and the sun appearing black at its center as visual cues for the event. Grow a Garden Wiki: Weather
- Keep crops planted while the event is active. Community references associate Solar Eclipse weather with a chance for crops to receive the effect. Check your crops during or after the event for the Eclipsed label. The sources do not give a precise probability or guarantee a result.
What the mutation is called
There are two labels to know: weather descriptions and players may say “Eclipse mutation,” while the crop mutation table calls the effect Eclipsed. The crop table identifies Solar Eclipse as its source. Grow a Garden Wiki: Crop Mutations
Does Eclipsed have a multiplier?
Community-maintained references list Eclipsed at ×20: the Grow a Garden Calculator mutation page and the crop mutation table both show that figure. It is not established here as a current, officially documented value or independently verified in-game, so treat it as a community-listed multiplier rather than a guaranteed current payout.
Why guides may give different Eclipse instructions
Make sure a guide is for the original Grow a Garden, not Grow a Garden 2. The latter has separate Eclipse references and is a different game; its instructions, odds, or multipliers should not be applied to the original. GAG2 Wiki: Eclipse
