The November 2025 PlayStation showcase was State of Play Japan, a presentation focused on games created in Japan and across Asia. Sony said it would run for more than 40 minutes and be hosted by voice actor Yuki Kaji. The show aired November 11 in the Americas and Europe and November 12 in Japan; Sony’s recap included new game reveals, release-date announcements, DLC and updates, a demo, and a PlayStation monitor announcement.

When and where did State of Play Japan air?
Sony scheduled the presentation for November 11, 2025, at 2 p.m. PT / 5 p.m. ET / 11 p.m. CEST, which was November 12 at 7 a.m. JST. The Japanese PlayStation YouTube channel carried a Japanese-language version. The main PlayStation YouTube channel offered Japanese audio with English subtitles. Games with an announced date or release window
- BlazBlue Entropy Effect X: Announced for PS5 on February 12, 2026. Sony described a roguelike action spin-off with 14 familiar characters, a new story, and character-build options; preorders opened at the time.
- BrokenLore: Unfollow: Sony gave January 16 as its announced release date for this single-player psychological horror game about social media.
- Coffee Talk Tokyo: Announced for PS5 on March 5, 2026. The spin-off is set in a Tokyo café, where players work as a barista and hear stories from human and yōkai-descendant visitors.
- Damon & Baby: Announced for PS5 and PS4 in early 2026. Sony described an action adventure about a cursed demon lord and a human child, with exploration and twin-stick shooter combat.
- Dragon Quest VII Reimagined: Square Enix showed a new trailer and announced February 5, 2026 for PS5. Sony said the reimagining adds an episode involving an adult Keifa.
- Fatal Frame II: Crimson Butterfly Remake: Announced for March 12, 2026. This full remake of the 2003 Japanese horror adventure features the Camera Obscura. Sony’s post also included an interview with series director Makoto Shibata of Koei Tecmo Games.
- Fate Trigger: Announced for early access in Q1 2026, with two new heroes, Fari and TaTa, and a new map, Pale Blight Outpost.
- inKonbini: One Store. Many Stories: Announced for PS5 in April 2026. It is a narrative game about working as a convenience-store clerk and making everyday choices.
- Kyouran Makaism: Announced for January 29, 2026. Sony described a 3D action RPG from the Disgaea team in which defeated enemies can become Familiars or weapons.
- MotionRec: Announced for Spring 2026. The puzzle action game centers on recording actions and replaying them to overcome obstacles.
- Never Grave: The Witch and The Curse: Announced for PS5 and PS4 on March 5, 2026. Sony’s recap described a 2D roguelike with boss battles and included a new trailer.
- No Sleep for Kaname Date – From AI: The Somnium Files: Announced for PS5 and PS4 on February 26, 2026. Investigator Kaname Date and AI partner Aiba investigate Iris’s kidnapping; Sony noted enhanced visuals on PS5.
- Tokyo Xtreme Racer: Announced for PS5 on February 25 PT / February 26 JST. Sony described more than 400 rivals and 180 km of recreated highways.
- Wandering Sword: Announced for May 28, 2026. This RPG is set in ancient China and features pixel art, two battle modes, 20 endings, and Japanese voiceover.
New reveal without a release date in the recap
- BrokenLore: Ascend: Revealed as a Tokyo-set survival-horror game with climbing elements. Sony’s recap did not state a release date.
DLC, game updates, and collaborations
- Digimon Story Time Stranger – Alternate Dimension DLC: Sony announced the first Season Pass DLC for winter, adding five Digimon and a new story centered on key characters.
- Dynasty Warriors: Origins – Visions of Four Heroes DLC: Announced for January 22, 2026. The add-on brings a new Four Heroes story, allies and weapons, and expanded one-versus-one-thousand action; preorders opened at the time.
- Elden Ring Nightreign – The Forsaken Hollows DLC: Announced for December 4. Sony described two new playable Nightfarers, the Scholar and Undertaker, and two new bosses.
- Gran Turismo 7 – Power Pack DLC: Series producer Kazunori Yamauchi announced a December 4 release for this paid add-on, which includes motorsport challenges such as 24-hour endurance racing and full race weekends.
- Monster Hunter Wilds – Free Title Update 4: Announced for December 16, with Gogmazios, additional endgame content, and seasonal events.
- Once Upon a Katamari DLC packs: The Katamari Dance Dance Remix Pack was announced for November with five remix tracks and costumes; the Katamari Neo Remix Pack was announced for winter.
- Pac-Man World 2: Re-Pac – Sonic the Hedgehog Collaboration Set DLC: Sony said this add-on was available that day on PS5 and PS4, with Sonic-inspired stages and a Dr. Eggman boss fight.
- Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds – SpongeBob SquarePants Pack DLC: Announced for November 19 PT / November 20 JST. Sony also noted free collaboration racers Nights, AiAi, and Tangle & Whisper.
- Super Robot Wars Y DLC Pack 1: Announced for November 20 PT / November 21 JST. Sony described crossover content from Galactic Whirlwind Bryger, The Big O, and Fūto PI: Portrait of Kamen Rider Skull.
Demo and beta announcements
- Octopath Traveler 0: Sony said a demo was available during the event, covering the first three hours, with progress carrying over to the full game. The announced launch date for PS5 and PS4 was December 4, 2025.
- MARVEL Tōkon: Fighting Souls: Sony announced a closed PS5 beta beginning December 5 at midnight PT / 5 p.m. JST. Spider-Man and Ghost Rider joined the roster, bringing the announced playable-character total to eight; the beta also added two stages.
PlayStation 27-inch Gaming Monitor announcement
Sony Interactive Entertainment announced a 27-inch gaming monitor for the U.S. and Japan in 2026. The event-time specifications listed a QHD IPS panel with resolution up to 2560 × 1440, HDR and VRR, and refresh rates up to 120 Hz on PS5 and PS5 Pro or up to 240 Hz on compatible PC and Mac devices. The announcement described a DualSense charging hook. Sony’s event recap did not confirm the monitor’s current availability.
