It does not increase the number of pets you can store. The exact amount is approximate, and whether the Pack Bee can currently be obtained is unclear.
What the Pack Bee adds to your backpack
The community-maintained Grow a Garden Wiki Pack Bee page describes the passive as “Increases backpack size by ~25 and pollinates a plant every ~25 minutes.” It says the added capacity applies to fruits, plants, seeds, and tools. This is a community reference, not an official developer confirmation.
Beebom’s June 14, 2025 guide reports approximately 26 extra slots for a Pack Bee at age one. Because the references give approximate figures rather than a verified fixed value, treat the increase as about 25 slots, not a guaranteed exact count.
The bonus can rise with age
The wiki and Beebom both report that the backpack bonus grows as the Pack Bee ages. Neither provides a dependable, complete age-by-age progression, so there is no supported figure for how many slots it will add at a later age.

Does it increase the pet limit?
No. The Pack Bee’s reported capacity bonus is for fruits, plants, seeds, and tools; it does not expand pet storage. If your pets are filling their own inventory limit, this backpack bonus will not solve that problem.
Can you get a Pack Bee now?
Current availability is not settled by the available references. The wiki lists a crafting method but marks the Pack Bee as unobtainable, while Beebom’s June 2025 guide describes it as craftable. Check the live crafting station or shop in your game before collecting materials or relying on a recipe.

Beebom’s historical recipe was one Anti Bee Egg, one Sunflower, one Purple Dahlia, and 250 Honey. Those ingredients describe the guide’s June 2025 instructions; they are not confirmation that the recipe works in the current game.

The Grow a Garden Wiki’s mechanics reference also mentions inventory upgrades from shops. It does not establish current costs or a reliable capacity comparison with the Pack Bee, and inventory details may change with game updates. Check the relevant shop and the inventory category you need before spending resources.
