Complete Security Contracts through your Agency to raise the recurring cash rate in its office safe. Then collect the money from the safe before it fills. Guides report a maximum rate of GTA$20,000 per in-game day, but differ on exactly how contract completions increase that rate, so use the safe’s in-game display as your guide.
How to build Agency passive income
- Own an Agency. Use the computer in its office to launch Security Contracts.
- Complete Security Contracts. Contract progress raises the reported recurring income rate. The exact increase is disputed: PC Gamer says the rate rises by GTA$500 every five contracts, while GTA Core describes an increase of GTA$100 per contract, applied at five-contract milestones. Check the rate displayed at your safe rather than relying on either formula as definitive. PC Gamer’s guide was published in 2022; GTA Core’s guide reports figures in 2026.
- Collect the cash from the office safe. GTA Core reports that the safe holds up to GTA$250,000; this is a secondary-guide figure, not a capacity confirmed by Rockstar’s cited update notes.
How much can the Agency safe earn?
Both guides report a maximum income rate of GTA$20,000 per in-game day. PC Gamer says that rate is reached after 200 Security Contracts; GTA Core says it is reached after 201. Because the sources also differ on the rate progression, treat the contract total as a guide rather than a guaranteed milestone and verify your displayed rate in-game.

PC Gamer reports that an in-game day lasts 48 minutes. That describes game time, not a guaranteed real-world cash-per-hour return: what accrues depends on your play and the game being available, and you still need to collect the balance from the safe.
Do not confuse the Agency with the Car Wash
Rockstar’s August 28, 2025 Title Update 1.71 notes describe the Hands On Car Wash as having “A safe that gains passive income over time, increasing with the number of different businesses a player owns.” That statement concerns the Car Wash. It does not establish how the Agency safe’s rate is calculated, so the two businesses’ passive-income mechanics should not be assumed to match.
