A demo reel attributed to former Rockstar animator Benjamin Chue reportedly contains early animation clips that viewers linked to GTA VI, including bicycle interactions and pickup-truck dismounts. The footage has not been conclusively authenticated, however, and its project origin is unconfirmed—so it does not prove that any of these actions or features will appear in the finished game.
What does the reported GTA 6 animator demo reel show?
GameSpot described a roughly two-minute reel of animation work associated with several games. Three clips appeared to show pre-alpha GTA VI material: one male character removes a “LomBike” from a docking station, turns it, and sits on it; another moment shows him returning the bike to its dock. Two other animations show a female character getting down from a pickup truck, including climbing out of the bed and jumping down from the roof via the bed. GameSpot’s report details those actions.
Dot Esports’ August 4, 2026 update also describes three short clips, mentioning bicycle interactions and a monster-truck sequence. The accounts do not describe every moment identically, so the safest summary is that the reel reportedly contains brief vehicle-related animation work, not a complete or consistent demonstration of a particular gameplay system. Dot Esports’ update provides its account of the clips.
Is the GTA 6 leak real?
The reel was attributed in coverage to Benjamin Chue, described as a former Rockstar animator. That attribution is not the same as authentication: Dot Esports reported that the account appeared under the name Ben Chue but was private, and the outlet could not verify that it belonged to the developer. The precise project origin of the clips was also not confirmed; they could be from another Rockstar title. Similarities to earlier GTA VI footage or Vice City references may explain why viewers made the connection, but resemblance alone does not establish provenance.

GameSpot reported that the original reel was removed and copies circulated afterward. The cited reporting does not establish why it was removed, so removal should not be treated as confirmation that the material was genuine or that Rockstar took it down. GameSpot’s coverage reports the removal and mirrors; Dot Esports explains the unresolved identity and sourcing questions.
Does the bike clip confirm rental bikes in GTA 6?
No. The described animation shows a character interacting with a docked bicycle, but it does not establish that the finished game will include rental bikes, a bike-sharing system, or even that the clip belongs to GTA VI. It is best understood as a reported animation test or portfolio clip whose context is uncertain—not a confirmed feature announcement.

How should the footage be compared with official GTA 6 material?
The distinction is provenance and polish. The demo-reel clips are alleged early work with unresolved sourcing. PC Gamer characterized the material as work in progress and considerably less polished than Rockstar’s official releases, potentially from very early development. That description is consistent with not treating the clips as representative of the final game’s visuals or finished animations. Official trailers, by contrast, are promotional material released by the developer. PC Gamer’s report describes the reel’s apparent state and reproduces Rockstar Games’ statement about the release delay: “These extra months will allow us to finish the game with the level of polish you have come to expect and deserve”. The statement concerns the delay, not the reel.
