If Genshin Impact is not sending a verification code, first check the email address linked to your HoYoverse account, then look through spam and other inbox categories. Wait before requesting another code: HoYoverse says delivery can be delayed by up to 10 minutes and warns that rapid repeated requests may trigger email filters. If you cannot access the linked inbox, try SMS verification with a linked phone number or contact HoYoverse through its account recovery form.
If you can access the linked email inbox
Work through these checks in order. They follow HoYoverse’s guidance; they cannot identify the cause for a particular account or guarantee that a message will arrive.
- Confirm the account email. Make sure you are checking the exact email address linked to the HoYoverse account, including its spelling. If you have more than one address, check the one registered to this account. HoYoverse’s verification-code troubleshooting article covers this check.
- Search beyond the main inbox. Check spam or junk, and look in Promotions or other inbox categories if your email provider uses them. HoYoverse recommends checking these folders and displaying all inbox categories where applicable. Its verification-email guidance has more detail.
- Give delivery time. HoYoverse says an email may be delayed by up to 10 minutes. That is a delay estimate, not a promise that every code will arrive within that period. Avoid repeatedly requesting new codes while waiting.
- Allowlist HoYoverse email. If your provider supports safe senders or contacts, add
[email protected]and@email.hoyoverse.com. HoYoverse recommends this to help prevent verification messages from being filtered. - Request another code cautiously. If the message still has not arrived, try again after waiting rather than sending many requests in quick succession. HoYoverse warns that repeated requests in a short period can trigger email filters.

If you cannot access the registered email
If you can sign in to the HoYoverse Account Center and a phone number is linked, use the SMS verification option to change the email:
- Open the HoYoverse Account Center and go to Personal Information.
- Choose Change Email, then select Use another verification method.
- Complete the SMS verification flow using the linked phone number.
If SMS verification is unavailable, submit the HoYoverse Account Issues Application Form. Select the service that matches your issue and review your answers carefully before submitting: HoYoverse says a submitted form cannot be changed or withdrawn. Avoid duplicate submissions, which may delay the process, and do not link your proposed replacement email to another HoYoverse account while the case is under review.

If a login error appears
Respond to the exact error instead of repeatedly requesting codes. HoYoverse gives different guidance for these messages:
- “Too many requests” or an account security-risk message: wait before trying again.
- A network-environment-risk error: adjust the network environment and retry.
- “Potential risk detected” identity check: check the registered email for a verification message.
These steps are from HoYoverse’s login-error guidance. If you suspect someone else has accessed your account, reset the password immediately if possible. If you cannot, submit the Account Issues Application Form, provide accurate account information, and monitor the contact email you provide for support updates. HoYoverse says recovery is not guaranteed.

When to contact HoYoverse
Use the Account Issues Application Form if the inbox is inaccessible and SMS cannot verify you, or if the email checks do not resolve the problem. The cited guidance does not establish a current service outage or identify a universal cause, so avoid assuming the problem is a game-wide issue.
