Whether it is still included in either catalog on October 8, 2026 is not confirmed by the available official listings. If you want to play it today without buying it, check the live Game Pass catalog for your region and plan.
What the launch announcements confirm
- Xbox Series X|S: Xbox Wire said Frostpunk 2 was out on Xbox Series X|S and available with Game Pass on September 18, 2025. That confirms console Game Pass availability at launch, not continued inclusion today. Xbox Wire’s console launch announcement.
- PC: Xbox Wire listed Frostpunk 2 for PC on September 20, 2024, with Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass. This documents the PC launch offer; it does not establish current catalog access. Xbox Wire’s September 2024 Game Pass announcement.
Does Game Pass let you play it now?
The official Xbox Store listing does not settle whether Frostpunk 2 is currently included in the console or PC Game Pass catalog. Check the catalog in your region while signed in, and confirm the game’s page identifies access through your plan before relying on subscription access. Catalog availability and eligible plans can differ from historical launch offers.
Cloud play is not the same as Game Pass catalog access
The Xbox Store listing for the Argentina storefront says, “Se puede jugar en la nube con XBOX Game Pass Essential, Premium o Ultimate. Se requiere la compra del juego” (“Can be played in the cloud with Xbox Game Pass Essential, Premium or Ultimate. Purchase of the game is required”). The purchase qualification matters: the cloud-play statement does not show that the game is included in the subscription catalog. See the Xbox Store listing.
Platform details on the Xbox Store
The Store listing identifies the Xbox Series X|S version and Xbox Cloud Gaming, and notes Xbox Play Anywhere. It lists 11 bit studios as the developer and publisher. Its description says mods are available on PC; the Xbox version does not support community mods. These platform details do not confirm current Game Pass catalog status.
