The Gears of War: Reloaded multiplayer beta has ended. It ran across two weekends in June 2025, opening at 19:00 UTC on Friday and closing at 19:00 UTC on Sunday each time. The full game launched on August 26, 2025.
When was the Gears of War: Reloaded beta?
Xbox announced two beta weekends:
| Weekend | Dates | Schedule |
|---|---|---|
| Weekend 1 | June 13–15, 2025 | 19:00 UTC Friday to 19:00 UTC Sunday |
| Weekend 2 | June 20–22, 2025 | 19:00 UTC Friday to 19:00 UTC Sunday |
Both sessions are over; these dates are not an upcoming schedule. The times above are the UTC times published by Xbox Wire.
How could players access the beta?
For the announced June sessions, Xbox listed three eligibility routes:
- Preorder the digital version of Gears of War: Reloaded for Xbox Series X|S, Xbox on PC, Steam, or PlayStation 5.
- Have an active Xbox Game Pass Ultimate or PC Game Pass membership.
- Own a digital copy of Gears of War: Ultimate Edition, purchased before May 5, 2025, at 16:00 UTC.
The PlayStation product page separately described its Exclusive Multiplayer Beta offer as available to digital-edition preorders only, with a preorder cutoff of August 26, 2025, at 15:00 UTC. That platform-specific offer language does not change the dates of the beta sessions Xbox announced for June. See the PlayStation product page for its offer details.

How can you play Gears of War: Reloaded now?
The beta closed after June 22, 2025, so buying the game now or subscribing to Game Pass cannot provide access to that finished event. The full game launched August 26, 2025, for Xbox Series X|S, Xbox PC, Xbox Cloud Gaming, PlayStation 5, and Steam. Microsoft said it was available at launch in Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass; that launch announcement does not establish current Game Pass availability in every region.
