To unlock trading in Bee Swarm Simulator, you need at least 20 bees and three badges: Playtime Cadet, Ability Cadet, and Battle Hotshot. The Bee Swarm Simulator Wiki lists their thresholds as 8 hours of playtime, 2,500 ability tokens, and 1,000 battle points, respectively. Meeting those requirements does not guarantee that trading is currently available: the feature may be disabled for all servers, or you may have turned off incoming trade requests.
Trading unlock requirements
The Bee Swarm Simulator Wiki lists these four requirements for eligibility:
- At least 20 bees in your hive.
- The Playtime Cadet Badge, listed at 8 hours of playtime.
- The Ability Cadet Badge, listed at 2,500 ability tokens.
- The Battle Hotshot Badge, listed at 1,000 battle points.
These thresholds come from the community-maintained Bee Swarm Simulator Wiki; Roblox’s official game listing identifies the creator but does not confirm the trading requirements. The wiki provides the thresholds, not a verified fastest method for earning the badges.
How to meet the requirements
- Build your hive until it has at least 20 bees.
- Reach 8 hours of playtime to earn Playtime Cadet.
- Collect 2,500 ability tokens to earn Ability Cadet.
- Reach 1,000 battle points to earn Battle Hotshot.
After earning all three badges and reaching 20 bees, check the trade menu. You can open it through settings or use the trade prompt at another player’s hive, according to the wiki.

Trading may still be unavailable
Unlock eligibility and live availability are separate. The community wiki records that trading was disabled on September 26, 2025, restored in the Hive Hub on December 17, and returned to all servers on December 28, 2025. Those dates describe the historical sequence, not current availability.
A July 2026 player discussion reported the in-game message “trading is currently disabled on all servers.” That is user-generated evidence, not official confirmation. The available information does not establish whether trading is enabled on October 8, 2026, so check the live game before arranging a trade. If you meet the requirements but cannot trade
Check these two possibilities before assuming you still need to unlock the feature:
- Trade requests are turned off: Check the “Allow trade requests” setting in the trade menu. If it is off, other players cannot send you requests.
- Trading is globally disabled: If the game reports that trading is disabled on all servers, earning more bees or badges will not make a trade possible until the feature is available again.
The wiki describes trades as a process where both players add items and accept, followed by a waiting period before the trade closes. Review the offered items carefully before accepting.

What can you trade?
The wiki lists Beequips, Cub Buddy Skins, and stickers as tradable categories. Bees are not among the listed items, so do not expect to trade bees themselves.
