Are Helldivers 2 Servers Down? What We Can Confirm Now

I can’t confirm a live global “up” or “down” state from the official pages accessible right now. Arrowhead says connectivity problems are ongoing but are not listed on its known-issues page. A scheduled maintenance window on October 6 has passed, but that notice does not tell us whether there is an issue today.

To check whether the problem is widespread or specific to your setup, check the game and your platform’s current network status before troubleshooting.

What the official updates say about Helldivers 2 servers

Arrowhead Game Studios’ HELLDIVERS 2 Known Issues article was updated October 8, 2026. It says the list covers common reported or QA-found issues confirmed for fixing, is not exhaustive, and excludes most ongoing crashes, performance, and connectivity problems. Arrowhead’s wording is: “Most crashes, performance, and connectivity problems are ongoing issues that are always being worked on and are not listed here.” The page’s omission of a connectivity issue therefore does not establish that the servers are healthy.

The article does mention one latency-related gameplay issue: a Helldiver may die after landing on an Automaton fabricator when the player has high latency. That is a specific gameplay effect, not evidence of a game-wide outage.

The October 6 maintenance notice is historical

A Steam news notice published October 5 announced “Galactic Network Maintenance” for October 6, 2026, at 08:00 UTC. It warned that players still in-atmosphere during the blackout could lose their Helldiver and rewards. That scheduled window has passed; the notice neither confirms a current outage nor establishes that every service recovered.

How to tell whether the problem is the game, platform, or your connection

Helldivers 2 requires online play, supports groups of up to four online players, and offers cross-play between PS5 and PC, according to PlayStation’s game information. On PS5, online console play requires PlayStation Plus.

• Game service: If login or matchmaking fails, check Arrowhead’s official notices and retry later. The known-issues page does not list most ongoing connectivity problems, so its contents alone cannot confirm service health.
• Platform network: Check your platform’s network status as well as the game’s notices. PlayStation’s service-status page is the place to check PSN, but its current status could not be verified here.
• Local connection or device: If other online services also fail on the same device, that points away from a Helldivers-only issue, though it does not prove the cause. If those services work, the game or platform may still be involved.

What to try if you can’t connect or matchmaking is not working

1. Check platform network status. Look at the current status for PSN or the PC platform you use.
2. Restart Helldivers 2 and check for an update. Then try logging in or matchmaking again.
3. Compare other online services on the same device. This can help distinguish a broader connection issue from one limited to the game.
4. Retry later if login or matchmaking still fails. The available notices do not establish a guaranteed fix for an individual connection problem.
5. Contact the support team that handles your issue. PlayStation directs gameplay issues, patches, bugs, and Helldivers 2 suspensions to Arrowhead Support. It directs PC performance issues and Steam purchases to Steam Support, and account, installation, launch, and PlayStation suspension issues to PlayStation Support.

Which support channel should you use?

PlayStation’s support guidance identifies PS5 and PC as the game’s platforms; it does not establish that either has better server reliability.
