No: V Rising does not support crossplay between PC (Steam) and PlayStation 5. Players on those platforms cannot join the same multiplayer session. The developer statement on this specific pairing dates to 2024; V Rising’s official site currently lists both Steam and PS5 as platforms, but that availability does not mean the versions play together.
Can PC and PS5 players play V Rising together?
No. A player using the Steam version on PC cannot play in the same V Rising session as a player on PS5. The statement reproduced in a Steam community discussion is attributed to a Stunlock representative and quotes them saying on May 20, 2024: “Hey gang, we won’t be doing crossplay between PS5 and Steam for a lot of technical and logistical reasons.” The discussion does not identify the representative by name or role, so the quote should not be attributed more specifically. Stunlock’s official V Rising site lists Steam and PlayStation 5 and describes solo and online play. It does not claim that players on the two platforms can connect to one another.
What crossplay does—and does not—mean here
Online modes do not guarantee crossplay
The Steam listing describes single-player, online co-op and PvP, and LAN co-op and PvP for the PC version. Those options describe play available to that version; they do not establish interoperability with PS5. See V Rising on Steam.

Cross-progression is a separate question
Crossplay means players on different platforms can play together. Cross-progression means a player’s save or progress carries between platforms. The cited sources do not establish whether V Rising supports save transfer or cross-progression between PC and PS5, so treat that as unverified rather than assuming it works—or does not work—based on the crossplay answer.
Does the crossplay request mean the feature is coming?
No. The official feedback dashboard lists a request titled “crossplay” asking to play with friends on PS5 and PC. That shows players have requested the feature; a request is not confirmation that Stunlock plans to implement it or has added it. View the official V Rising feedback dashboard.

Would a dedicated server let PC and PS5 players join?
No evidence here indicates that hosting bridges the Steam–PS5 limitation. A dedicated or private world can be an option for compatible players who want a persistent place to play: an older V Rising Steam FAQ describes hosting worlds on a player’s own PC or through a service. Check the server build and platform support before choosing a host, and do not assume hosting enables PC–PS5 crossplay.
