How to zoom with Simple Zoom

Check the Simple Zoom listing for your Minecraft version and mod loader before downloading. Its currently listed loader support includes Fabric, Forge, and NeoForge, and the project is marked client-side. The listed Java Edition versions include 26.1–26.3, 1.21.9–1.21.11, 1.20–1.20.1, and 1.19.2; support may change, so use the listing as the current reference.

In Minecraft, hold C to zoom. While keeping it held, scroll the mouse wheel to change the magnification. Releasing the key resets the game to its default zoom.

If another action already uses C, open Options > Controls > Key Binds > Simple Zoom and assign a different key.

Choosing and troubleshooting a zoom mod
- Match the exact game version and loader. A mod listing for a nearby Minecraft version or a different loader does not establish compatibility with your setup.
- Check for a key conflict. Simple Zoom and Far Out Zoom both list C as their default; rebind the zoom action if another control uses that key.
- Use only one zoom mod. Multiple zoom mods can compete for the same key or alter zoom behavior.
- Confirm the mod is in the client installation running Iris. Simple Zoom is marked client-side and says the server does not need it.
