No. DRAGON BALL FighterZ does not support cross-play between PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo Switch, and PC. Bandai Namco Entertainment America stated on February 28, 2024: “There is no cross-play support between the different platforms.” Console generations can also be separated within the same family: the PS5 version does not play online with PS4 users, and the Xbox Series version does not play online with Xbox One users.
Which platforms can play together?
The game is available on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and PC, but being available on multiple platforms does not mean they share matchmaking. The publisher’s cross-play update says there is no cross-play between different platforms.

Bandai Namco lists the game for PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and PC. That list describes availability, not a shared pool of online players.
Do PS4 and PS5 players share online matches?
No, not when playing the PS5 version. Bandai Namco says that after upgrading from PS4 to PS5, players can no longer play online with PS4 users and can play only with PS5-version players. A PS4-to-PS5 save transfer is supported, but it does not preserve online compatibility with PS4 users.

Do Xbox One and Xbox Series players share online matches?
No, not when playing the Xbox Series version. Bandai Namco says players who upgrade from Xbox One can no longer play online with Xbox One users and can play only with Xbox Series version players. As on PlayStation, the upgrade separates online matchmaking within the console family.
Does rollback netcode add cross-play?
No. Rollback netcode and cross-play are different features: rollback changes how the game handles online timing, while cross-play lets players on different platforms enter the same matchmaking pool. Bandai Namco says rollback is available on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC; PS4, Xbox One, and Switch remain on delay-based netcode.

PC players must use the same netcode option
The PC version offers a choice between rollback and delay-based netcode. Players using different options do not match with each other, according to the publisher’s update. This is a matchmaking split within PC, not a way to play against console users.
Does the Switch version work on Nintendo Switch 2?
The Nintendo listing says the Switch version is compatible with Nintendo Switch 2 and behaves consistently with Nintendo Switch. This compatibility note does not indicate cross-play with PlayStation, Xbox, or PC.

Can a save transfer or buying another version enable cross-play?
No. A supported PS4-to-PS5 save transfer does not restore online play with PS4 users, and cross-platform save transfers such as PlayStation to Xbox are unsupported. Buying or owning another platform’s copy does not enable cross-play; online matches remain limited by the platform and version compatibility described above.
