The Dead Man’s Mail map is on a skeleton inside a tent near the “S” in “Sea” on the Great Sand Sea map in Shatterscarp. The treasure is in a ruin in Shark’s Teeth, north of Tago’s Tower. Climb the collapsed pillar to reach the upper structure, then check around its eastern side for a locked chest; bring three lockpicks. The chest contains the Necropants.
Where to find the Dead Man’s Mail map
- Travel to the Great Sand Sea in Shatterscarp.
- Look for a tent near the “S” in the area label “Sea.”
- Loot the skeleton inside the tent to collect the Dead Man’s Mail treasure map.
How to find the Dead Man’s Mail treasure
- Head to Shark’s Teeth in northern Shatterscarp. Use Tago’s Tower or its beacon as a landmark; the ruin is north of the tower, between it and Ryngrim’s Domain.
- Find the ruin and climb the collapsed pillar, which serves as a ramp to the upper part of the structure.
- Once up, search around the ruin’s corner on the eastern side for the locked chest.
- Open the chest with three lockpicks and take the Necropants to complete the treasure-map objective.
What the Necropants do
The Necropants are medium armor. Their listed effects are summoning a Spectre to fight alongside you and providing 30% resistance to poison accumulation.
Landmarks and chest position
The map illustration points toward a ruin near Tago’s Tower. One useful orientation is the crane-suspended platform at the tower; the ruin is also described as north of Shark’s Teeth, between Tago’s Tower and Ryngrim’s Domain, overlooking a Xaurip camp. Descriptions of the chest’s precise position vary slightly, but the eastern side of the ruin is the useful area to search.
If you already know the Shark’s Teeth party camp route, use it to approach the area. Otherwise, orient from Tago’s Tower or its beacon. Both approaches lead to the ruin and its collapsed-pillar climb.
