Who was named in the Technical Test coverage?
The ten names below come from GameLeap’s April 23, 2024 roundup of characters revealed during the Technical Playtest. Supergiant Games did not publish a name-by-name roster in its test announcement, so treat this as a contemporary reported list rather than an official, exhaustive canon inventory. - Selene — Described in the roundup as a moon goddess.
- Hestia — The roundup said her design was still a placeholder in the test-era build.

Where does Melinoë fit?

That distinction explains why the roundup’s ten names are best described as reported test-era reveals, rather than “every character” in Hades II: the list does not count the protagonist and does not claim to cover the full game.
What did the 2024 Technical Test include?
Supergiant presented the Technical Test as a way to find and fix technical issues before Early Access. The publisher said it contained “much less content” than the planned Early Access version, including the first major area and other early-game characters, systems, and content. Is this the complete Hades II cast?
No. The list describes the ten characters named in coverage of the 2024 Technical Test. Supergiant’s later v1.0 release added a much broader cast and more character events, so this test-era roundup should not be used as a current complete roster. The publisher reports that v1.0 launched September 25, 2025 for Steam, Epic Games Store, Nintendo Switch 2, and Nintendo Switch, with Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5 versions released April 14, 2026.
