A secondary guide credited to Polygon lists ten costumed Pokémon encounters across its tasks, plus a Spooky Festival Gengar encounter, two Premium Battle Passes and 5,000 XP for completion. It was most appealing to costume collectors who expected to finish the research—not to players looking for a ticket they can buy now.
What were the Costume Party research rewards?
The task and reward list below comes from a secondary guide credited to Polygon. The event-specific details are not independently confirmed by an official Halloween 2024 announcement.

Was the Costume Party ticket worth buying?
The guide reported a US$2 ticket price. It compared the two Premium Battle Passes with an in-game listed value of 100 PokéCoins each, saying they roughly covered the ticket’s price. That is an in-game comparison, not a fixed cash valuation: the passes and XP only have practical value if you want to use them, and the costumed encounters may matter more to collectors than to other players.

- Press and hold the central button on the Pokémon GO Plus + accessory and place it by your pillow to track your rest rhythm on the Pokémon Sleep app
- There’s a Pikachu within your Pokémon GO Plus + that can sing you lullabies and act as your morning alarm; Pikachu grows friendlier the more you sleep, unlocking even more sounds!
- Best fit: players collecting costume variants or seeking these particular encounters, provided they expected to complete the timed tasks.
- Less compelling: players uninterested in costume Pokémon, or anyone who would not finish enough tasks to value the encounters and completion rewards.
Because the offer ended in 2024, this historical comparison is not a reason to look for or buy the same ticket now.
Can you still get this research?
No. The Costume Party Timed Research was reported as available only from October 22 through November 3, 2024. Pokémon GO’s Help Center explains that many in-game events have free gameplay with optional paid content, and that event tickets are bought in the in-app Shop; this general guidance does not make the expired Costume Party ticket available today. Read Pokémon GO Help Center guidance on events and tickets.

What this ticket was—and was not
Costume Party was a Halloween 2024 paid research offer. It was separate from the 2023 Ticket of Treats offer and from Party Play, Pokémon GO’s distinct co-op feature. Pokémon GO’s Party Play page describes that separate feature.
