Pokémon GO’s paid Carnival of Love Timed Research ran from February 13 to February 15, 2024, and is no longer available. Its five tasks required increasingly difficult Great Curveball Throws in a row; each awarded an encounter with heart-pattern Spinda. The listed total rewards were two Incense, 5,000 XP and 2,500 Stardust.
What were the Carnival of Love Timed Research tasks?
The research had five sequential steps. Each step rewarded one heart-pattern Spinda encounter, according to Serebii’s task listing.

When did the event end, and was the research paid?
Carnival of Love ran from Tuesday, February 13, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. through Thursday, February 15, 2024, at 8:00 p.m. local time. The Timed Research had to be completed and its rewards claimed by the event’s end. The deadline has passed, so the ticket and its research are not currently available.

The event also offered activities distinct from the ticketed Timed Research. Niantic’s announcement describes Field Research encounters and a Collection Challenge; it does not say that all event Field Research was paid.

Could Furfrou get Heart Trim during the event?
Yes. During Carnival of Love, players could change Natural Form Furfrou to Heart Trim for 25 Furfrou Candy and 10,000 Stardust. The in-game route was Furfrou’s storage summary → Change Form → select the trim. This was an event-specific detail; the announcement does not establish current availability.
The Luvdisc Tambourine Pose was also featured in the in-game shop and, according to Niantic, remained available after the event ended. That does not establish whether it is offered in the shop now.
