A 2021 report described a fan-made Among Us crossover mod that let an impostor transform into a Freddy Fazbear-style animatronic and chase or confuse the crew. The report pointed players to Skeld.net, but current Skeld.net pages do not confirm that this specific mod is still hosted there. What was the Among Us and Five Nights at Freddy’s mod?
It was a fan-made crossover, not an official collaboration between Innersloth and Steel Wool Games. A Tech Times article published April 23, 2021, described an impostor who could take on a Freddy-style animatronic form and use special abilities against crewmates. The article attributed development to LooKuM/MRE, SSundee and other contributors; that attribution was not independently verified. Tech Times’ 2021 report
How did the mod work?
The 2021 article said a player had to be randomly assigned as impostor to get the animatronic suit. It did not describe a way to select or guarantee that role. Its six reported buttons were:
- Impostor: Reverted the player to the impostor and space costume.
- Transform: Changed the player into the killer bear after interacting with an animatronic costume.
- Teleport: Moved the player to a selected map location or near a crewmate.
- Freddy Army: Spawned animatronics to haunt or confuse the crew.
- Devour: Consumed a crewmate and left a mechanical form intended to prevent the body from being discovered and reported.
- Jumpscare: Appeared on players’ screens and stunned them.
These are descriptions from the 2021 article; they have not been independently tested, and they should not be taken as confirmation that the mod can be played now.

Can you still play it on Skeld.net?
Current sources establish that Skeld.net is a community-run custom Among Us server, but they do not establish that it currently hosts this Freddy mod. The Skeld.net Google Play listing identifies the service as a custom server and says it is not affiliated with Among Us or Innersloth. Its Patreon page describes it as a community-run public modded server. Neither page identifies the specific Five Nights at Freddy’s mod.
What did the original installation instructions say?
The 2021 Tech Times article said the mod developers had not supplied download links and directed readers to join a public server at Skeld.net. That is a dated access route, not a current installation guide: the available current Skeld.net pages do not verify that the mod is there today. Do not assume an unofficial download is authentic or that joining the server will provide this specific mod.
