Return to his post-drake location afterward to collect his equipment and Bell Bearing.
1. Find Igon in Gravesite Plain
Igon is beside the road near the Pillar Path Waypoint Site of Grace in eastern Gravesite Plain. To reach him from the starting area, cross Ellac Greatbridge and head east from the Messmer soldier camp. Speak with him and exhaust his dialogue about Bayle. PC Gamer’s walkthrough and PowerPyx’s walkthrough place him at this starting point.

2. Clear Dragon’s Pit
Follow the road southwest, using the headless dragon statues as landmarks. An Ancient Dragon-Man invader attacks on the way to Dragon’s Pit; defeat him and enter the dungeon.
- Work through Dragon’s Pit until you reach the chalice room.
- Take the apparent drop into the boss arena and defeat the Ancient Dragon-Man.
- Leave the dungeon toward Dragon’s Pit Terminus, which leads onward to Jagged Peak.
3. Climb Jagged Peak and get Igon’s Furled Finger
Optional stop: Grand Altar of Dragon Communion
South of the first Jagged Peak Drake area is the Grand Altar of Dragon Communion. You can speak with the Priestess and choose “Devour draconic essence” to receive Ancient Dragon’s Blessing. This is optional and is not a requirement for Igon’s quest.

Defeat the twin Jagged Peak Drakes
Follow the northeast trail from the first Jagged Peak Drake arena and defeat the pair of Jagged Peak Drakes. Igon is beyond their arena. Speak with him there to receive Igon’s Furled Finger; remember this location, because you will return to it for his equipment.
4. Reach Bayle’s arena and summon Igon
Continue up Jagged Peak, past Ancient Dragon Senessax, to Jagged Peak Summit. At Bayle’s arena, Igon’s summon sign is just inside the entrance. Use it to summon him, then defeat Bayle. If the climb or fight is proving too difficult, PC Gamer advises returning with a higher Scadutree Blessing level; that is difficulty advice, not a quest requirement.
5. Collect Igon’s and Bayle’s rewards
After defeating Bayle, return to the spot beyond the twin-drake fight where Igon gave you his Furled Finger. Collect Igon’s equipment and Bell Bearing there. At the Grand Altar of Dragon Communion, Bayle’s Heart can be exchanged for one of two incantations; PowerPyx says only one of those choices is available per playthrough.

The Priestess has a separate reward branch that depends on Thiollier’s Concoction. To take the alternate branch, obtain the Concoction through Thiollier’s quest and give it to the Priestess at night before defeating Bayle.

This choice affects the Priestess’s rewards; it is not needed to finish Igon’s quest. PC Gamer details the Concoction branch, while PowerPyx’s walkthrough does not cover it.
Can you finish Igon’s quest after burning the Sealing Tree?
PowerPyx states that the quest remains completable after burning the Sealing Tree at the Church of the Bud, which it identifies as a point of no return. This timing claim is reported by PowerPyx; the other walkthrough cited here does not independently confirm it. The guides also do not identify the game patch their quest instructions reflect, so they do not establish behavior for a particular patch.
