In Inscryption Act I, the cabin cuckoo clock has two compartments with different solutions and rewards. Set it to 11:00 to open the upper compartment and get a ring. The lower compartment comes later: after freeing the Caged Wolf, using the knife, and selecting the marked eye, follow the markings that eye reveals to claim the Stunted Wolf and the film.
Spoilers: This guide covers the Act I cabin safe, cabinet, Caged Wolf, knife, eye, and clock rewards. It does not cover clocks or puzzles in other acts or Kaycee’s Mod.
What each clock compartment gives you

How to open the upper compartment at 11:00
- Go to the cuckoo clock in Leshy’s Act I cabin.
- Set the smallest hand to eleven and the two larger hands to twelve.
- Take the ring from the upper compartment. Carry it into Leshy’s Trial of the Ring to satisfy that trial.
How to unlock the lower compartment
The lower setting is not a fixed time to guess: the marked eye reveals the clue. First complete the cabin sequence that gives you that eye.
Open the safe and take the cabinet key
Read the Mighty Leap page in the rulebook for the safe code, 273. Open the safe and take both the Stinkbug card and the key inside; the key is what unlocks the nearby sliding cabinet.

Solve the cabinet and free the wooden wolf
Use the key on the sliding-puzzle cabinet. Its tile puzzles work like card combat: arrange the tiles to deal the required damage. The important reward is the Caged Wolf card.
Play the Caged Wolf in a battle and let its cage take damage. Once it has been destroyed, leave the table when you can and collect the wooden wolf carving in the room. The card and the carving are separate: obtaining the card alone does not release the carving.

Release the knife and choose the marked eye
Place the wooden wolf carving beside the squirrel statue holding the knife. Pick up the knife it releases, then use it during a battle. When Leshy offers replacement eyes, choose the distinctive glowing eye with markings. If it is not offered, continue the run; this story event may be gated early on.
Read the clue and open the lower compartment
Return to the clock and look through the marked eye. Align the hands with the markings it reveals, then open the lower compartment and collect both the Stunted Wolf card and the roll of film. The film is the story-progression item; it serves a different purpose from the ring.

- 💥 Several cards have duplicates, which is needed to play a proper 2 person game (e.g. bees, worker ants, starvation, pelts, nuggets, etc.)
If the clock sequence seems stuck
- The safe opened, but the cabinet will not: Make sure you took the key from inside the safe.
- You have the Caged Wolf, but the carving is still unavailable: Play the card and let its cage take damage in battle.
- You collected the carving, but cannot get the knife: Place the physical carving beside the squirrel statue. The card itself is not a substitute.
- You used the knife, but cannot see the clock clue: Check that you selected the unusual marked eye, not another replacement eye.
- The cabin sequence repeats after defeating Leshy: Check the lower clock compartment for the roll of film.
