Fortnite’s Avatar: The Last Airbender-themed Elements event ran from April 12 to May 3, 2024, and its quests are no longer active. During the event, completing quests earned Chi for the Elements Pass; completing at least four quests in each of six Chakra phases unlocked that phase, and unblocking all six unlocked the Appa Glider.
How the Elements quests and rewards worked
Epic Games launched Elements with the Battle Royale v29.20 April 12, 2024 hotfix. The event ended May 3, 2024, at 2 AM ET. Epic described the progression this way: “Completing Elements Quests builds up your Chi — and as you build up your Chi, you’ll unlock more and more in-game rewards from the Elements Pass.” (Epic Games’ April 12, 2024 announcement.)
Chi and Chakra progress were related but distinct. Quest completions built Chi to unlock pass rewards; to unblock a Chakra and count toward Appa’s Glider, players needed at least four quests from that phase. Epic said Chi and remaining rewards could be tracked in the Elements tab in the Lobby during the event.
Quest phases and release schedule
The six phases arrived in sequence. Each required at least four completed quests to unblock its Chakra, and every phase contributed toward the six-phase requirement for Appa’s Glider.

All phases remained available until the event ended. The four-quest minimum applied separately to every phase, not as a total across the event: players needed to unblock all six Chakras to earn the Appa Glider.
Free and Premium Elements Pass rewards
The event’s pass had a free track and a paid Premium Reward Track. The comparison below describes the event terms in 2024; it is not an offer to buy the expired pass now.

Epic said the event rewards and Appa Glider were not exclusive to Elements and might become available in the Fortnite Shop later. That announcement does not establish whether any item is currently in the Shop, so present-day availability should be checked in Fortnite rather than assumed.
What the bending techniques did
Elements also brought four bending techniques to Battle Royale. Players could find them at elemental shrines by opening the associated Bending Scroll Container, or pick them up from the ground or Chests.

- Waterbending: Fired sharp, icy projectiles. While the technique was in the player’s inventory, health steadily restored up to 100 while the player was in water.
- Earthbending: Summoned chunks of earth to throw at opponents or form defensive barriers.
- Firebending: Launched arcs of fire or enabled a fiery slam from above.
- Airbending: Improved mobility with an “air wheel” for distance and an “air jump” that launched the player and nearby players.
Olympian Powers were vaulted in regular play during Elements and returned after the event ended. For tournament play, Epic said Earthbending, Firebending, and Airbending were excluded, while Olympian Powers remained included.

No. Elements ended on May 3, 2024, so its limited-time quests and pass progression are over. Epic’s statement that rewards might appear in the Shop later was not confirmation of a later release or current availability. Check Fortnite’s in-game Shop for any item you are looking for; the event announcement alone cannot confirm whether it can be claimed today.
