What the “football win streak” means
The run spans three different games at the top of Circana’s U.S. monthly chart: EA Sports College Football 25 in July 2024, Madden NFL 25 in August, and EA Sports FC 25 in September. The sequence covers American football and soccer; it is not a three-month streak by FC 25 or by one franchise.
What Circana’s launch-month record claim says
GamesBeat reported Circana’s claim that FC 25 had the highest launch-month sales of any soccer game released in the U.S. The report gives no game-specific sales amount, so the record should not be read as a disclosed unit total, revenue figure, percentage increase, or worldwide result.

How to read the chart’s coverage
The table reproduced by GamesBeat does not represent identical digital-sales coverage for every title. It marks some games whose digital sales were excluded and notes that Nintendo-platform digital sales were excluded for entries marked with two carets. GamesBeat also says only physical sales data was available for Nintendo products for Zelda’s ranking, which could have been higher with digital sales included. The report does not provide the full Circana methodology, so the rankings should be understood with those coverage limits rather than as a uniform all-platform digital-sales comparison.
GamesBeat reported that seven new games appeared in the top 20 and five in the top 10 that September. The ranking and spending figures here are historical U.S. results for September 2024, not current 2026 chart standings.
