No. Roblox no longer officially supports playing games as a guest without a Roblox account. The Guest Mode shutdown happened in stages: Roblox announced that it was turned off for iOS on October 23, 2017, and a Roblox Developer Forum staff member described it as removed or deprecated in June 2019.
What happened to Roblox Guest Mode?
Guest Mode let players enter Roblox games without signing in to a regular account. Its removal was not a single change across every platform. In a Roblox Developer Forum post dated October 23, 2017, Roblox said, “Guest Mode has been turned off for iOS.” Read the forum thread on the Guest Mode removal.
The transition was gradual. A May 2018 reply in the same thread said older clients could still join as guests. On June 2, 2019, forum staff member buildthomas wrote that “Guest mode has been removed/deprecated” and asked players to file a bug report if they could reliably reproduce guest access. That was a forum staff closure notice, not a separate corporate announcement. See the forum discussion and closure notice.
Why might you remember seeing Roblox guests?
Older memories of guest players fit the staged transition: old clients could still show guest behavior for a time, and the forum discussion also acknowledged possible bugs. Such reports do not mean Roblox still offers Guest Mode. The shutdown posts do not establish an official reason for the removal, so claims that it was specifically because of bots or abuse should not be treated as Roblox’s stated explanation.

How can you play Roblox now?
To play, use a Roblox account: sign in to an existing account or create one. A Roblox announcement from June 7, 2018 documented sign-in using a username, or a verified email address or phone number. Because that announcement describes login options at that time, it should not be taken as a complete guide to today’s sign-in or account-creation flow. Read Roblox’s 2018 login announcement.
