No. Fortnite is not officially supported on Sony’s PlayStation Portable (PSP). Epic Games’ current compatibility list names PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5, along with Xbox, Nintendo Switch, PC, and supported mobile devices—but not PSP. Epic’s compatibility list is the clearest way to check which devices the game supports.
Why Fortnite is not available for PSP
Epic’s compatibility article lists the platforms and devices that support Fortnite. Its PlayStation entries begin with PS4 and PS5; PSP is absent. That means there is no officially supported PSP version of Fortnite.
This answer is about the official Fortnite game running on PSP hardware. A video, mock-up, remote display, homebrew experiment, or fan project should not be treated as proof of an official native PSP release.
Where you can play Fortnite instead
PSP is not the only PlayStation option, and a PS5 is not required simply because you want to play Fortnite. Epic lists multiple supported platform families:

Availability can vary by device and platform. Check Epic’s current compatibility list for the supported devices within each category.
PlayStation 5
If you already own a PS5, the PlayStation Store listing for Fortnite identifies it as an Epic Games title. The US store page lists the game as free, with optional in-game purchases, and says online play is required. Those details apply to that listing; they do not make Fortnite playable on PSP.
Rank #2
- Sony PSP 3000 International Console, Fully Technician Tested.
Can a PSP accessory or upgrade make it work?
No PSP case, battery, memory card, or other accessory is identified as enabling Fortnite. The compatibility issue is that PSP is not on Epic’s supported-platform list, not that the handheld needs a particular add-on. For Fortnite, use a platform Epic lists as supported.
