The Assassin’s Creed offer most closely matching this headline appears to be a past giveaway of Assassin’s Creed Syndicate, not a confirmed offer available now. GG.deals lists the giveaway as expired, and the available information does not establish its original dates, region, platform, or claim requirements.
Which Assassin’s Creed game was free?
GG.deals’ Ubisoft free-games archive lists a time-limited giveaway for Assassin’s Creed Syndicate and marks it “Expired.” That makes Syndicate the likely game behind the broad headline, but the archive listing alone does not prove that this was the specific promotion originally meant by it.
The listing does not provide enough information to confirm when the offer ran, where it was available, which platform it covered, or what account or redemption steps it required. It also does not establish whether people who claimed the game during the promotion kept it permanently.
Does “100% free” mean you can still claim it?
No current Assassin’s Creed giveaway is confirmed by the available listing: the Syndicate entry is marked expired. GG.deals directs readers to Ubisoft Free Events to check current freebies, but that page has not been verified here as offering an Assassin’s Creed game.
#1 Best Overall
- Take Over The London Underworld - Establish London's fiercest gang and bring justice to the lawless streets.
- Devastate Your Enemies - Fight with an all-new combat system and weapons like the Cane Sword and the Assassin's Gauntlet featuring the Hidden Blade and Rope Launcher.
- Play As Twin Assassins - Play as rebellious Jacob Frye and his swift, deadly sister Evie.
- Upgrade To Gold Edition - Get the full Game plus Season Pass featuring a major expansion plus digital content and exclusives.
Check the live Ubisoft page before relying on a promotion headline. A past giveaway is not evidence that the game is still claimable, and an expired archive entry does not supply a current deadline or redemption link.
Free-to-keep, free weekend, and Ubisoft+ trial are different
Ubisoft promotions can grant a game to keep, provide temporary play access, or offer subscription access. GG.deals distinguishes these offer types in its Ubisoft giveaway guide:
Rank #2
- London, 1868. The Industrial Revolution unleashes an incredible age of invention, transforming the lives of millions with technologies once thought impossible.
- Opportunities created during this time period have people rushing to London to engage in this new world.
- A world no longer controlled by kings, emperors, politicians or religion, but by a new common denominator: money.
- PS4 Exclusive content - The 10 Dreadful Crimes: A series of unexplainable events strikes London. Pit your wit to solve those Dreadful Crimes in a thrilling crime-solving experience.
- Free-to-keep giveaway: A qualifying claim may add a game to an account, subject to the promotion’s terms. The Syndicate archive listing does not confirm the entitlement terms for its past offer.
- Free weekend: Access is temporary. GG.deals says players must purchase the game to continue playing after the trial ends.
- Ubisoft+ trial: Temporary access to a subscription game library, with continued access dependent on the subscription terms—not a free-to-keep giveaway.
So a free weekend or subscription trial should not be described as a permanent free copy.
