There are nine convoy sites across Castor Woods in Dying Light: The Beast: four large convoys with three trucks each and five small convoys with one truck each, according to AllThings. How’s 2025 guide. Find them by region below, then use the discovered truck markers on your in-game map to pinpoint each site. Rewards vary; guides report ammunition, valuables, throwables and weapons, but do not establish a guaranteed loot table.
All nine convoy locations and reported rewards
Convoy names and regional landmarks are useful for narrowing down the search, but the in-game map marker is the final locator. AllThings. How reports that discovered convoys appear as truck icons: a single truck for a small site and multiple trucks for a large one. The reward notes below summarize guide reports, not guaranteed drops or a complete loot table.

Four large sites mean more rear hatches to open and potentially more cards to collect than at a small site. The guides do not provide reliable odds or a consistent value ranking, so there is no substantiated “best” convoy to farm for a particular item.
How to open a convoy without wasting access cards
- Scout and thin the nearby infected. Opening a truck hatch takes time and leaves you exposed, so deal with immediate threats before looting. AllThings. How recommends a bow or crossbow against rooftop spewers and cautions that gunfire can attract virals; these are tactical suggestions, not required methods.
- Find and loot military-clad infected. Infected wearing military gear near the vehicles can drop Convoy Access Cards. Loot their bodies promptly because they can despawn. Gamer Guides; AllThings. How
- Use a card on each truck’s rear hatch. Large convoys have three trucks, and opening every truck may require multiple cards. If you want all convoy loot, check that every rear hatch is open before leaving.
- Check the side lockers. Lockers above the wheel wells use the regular lockpicking minigame and commonly contain ammunition. They are separate from the rear hatches.
- Search nearby emergency vehicles. Larger convoys may have police cars or ambulances with lockpickable trunks. Gamer Guides reports possible valuables, ammunition, crafting materials or medical consumables inside.
Does convoy loot respawn?
Restored Land
Techland’s March 26, 2026 Restored Land Edition notes say open-world activities such as convoys can be completed only once in Restored Land. The notes describe a persistent world in which defeated enemies stay defeated and looted items do not respawn. An official Hotfix 1.6.2, dated April 13, 2026, specifies that enemies will respawn during convoy clearance if all doors have not been opened. Open every truck door before leaving if you want the activity fully cleared.
#1 Best Overall
- Play the series that revolutionized storytelling in games. The Walking Dead: The Telltale Definitive Series contains all 4 Seasons, 400 Days DLC, and The Walking Dead: Michonne.
- “Graphic black” art style brings Season 4's enhanced visual style to all previous seasons of the acclaimed series.
- Exclusive looks at the making of the game from the developers, VO artists, and other team members that brought Clementine’s story to life.
- Character performances, lip syncing, and other gameplay and UI enhancements make this the definitive Telltale’s The Walking Dead experience.
- Music player that includes 140+ tracks across all seasons, art gallery, 3D model viewer with playable voice lines, & new 3D front end.
Standard mode
Older walkthroughs describe convoy refreshes after time passes in-game or after reloading, but that advice conflicts with Restored Land’s official one-time-clear rules. Do not assume that a refresh method applies across modes; the available guide reports do not establish a single repeat-loot rule that should be treated as universal.

- 2-4 PLAYER CO-OP GAMEPLAY: Play in up to four-player co-op. Host your own games or join others and see how their choices have played out differently than yours.
- For a shorter clear: start with one of the five small convoys, each reported to have a single truck.
- For more truck hatches to search: a large convoy has three trucks, but may require more access cards and keeps you exposed longer.
- If you prefer a nearby safe zone: guides note one near the Mountain Path Convoy in East National Park.
- If you want to avoid constrained approaches: the Island Tunnel and Mountain Tunnel convoys are in tunnels; the Island Tunnel site is specifically described as narrowing your approach options.
Published guides describe broad loot categories and occasional rare or unusual weapons, but they do not supply dependable drop rates or a complete item-by-item table. Treat specific rewards as possibilities, not guarantees.
