To open Odin’s Vault in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, charge Freyja’s medallion by completing the additional Hugrheim shrine trials, then use the charged medallion at the vault gate beneath Dunwic. Finding Odin’s Eye leads you to the entrance, but does not by itself unlock the door.
Open the vault gate
-
Follow Odin’s Eye to the entrance beneath Dunwic in East Anglia.
-
If the gate is still closed, complete the additional Hugrheim shrine trials to charge Freyja’s medallion. The quest account describes three further shrines.
-
Return to the entrance and use the charged medallion at the gate. Its three Elder Futhark runes and triquetra illuminate, and the door opens.

Why is the gate still locked after finding Odin’s Eye?
Odin’s Eye guides Eivor to the vault; it is not the final key for the gate. The missing step is charging Freyja’s medallion through the additional Hugrheim trials. Once charged, return to the entrance and activate the gate with the medallion.
