The main Pokémon Legends: Z-A early-purchase bonus was a Ralts holding Gardevoirite, available with either the Nintendo Switch or Nintendo Switch 2 edition. That Mystery Gift offer ended February 28, 2026, and the separate 100 Poké Ball digital-purchase code expired March 10, 2026. Retailer gifts varied by country and seller; none of those expired offers should be expected with a purchase now.

How the Ralts and Gardevoirite bonus worked

The broad early-purchase gift was a Ralts holding Gardevoirite. It applied to Pokémon Legends: Z-A and Pokémon Legends: Z-A – Nintendo Switch 2 Edition, for physical as well as digital copies. The offer was time-limited: the claim window closed on February 28, 2026.

While the offer was active, the steps were:

  1. Start the game and progress until Mystery Gift becomes available, after approximately one hour of play.
  2. Connect the system to the internet and use a player profile linked to a Nintendo Account.
  3. Open Mystery Gift and choose “Get via Internet” before the February 28, 2026 deadline.

That claim window has passed, so these steps cannot be used to obtain the offer now. Gardevoirite can also be found during normal gameplay. If a Pokémon already holds the stone, the game will not give you another one through this bonus. Pokémon’s official bonus page

The separate 100 Poké Ball digital bonus

Eligible digital purchases made by February 28, 2026 came with a serial code for 100 Poké Balls. Qualifying purchases through a download card or download code could also count. The code was sent by email, could be redeemed once through Mystery Gift, and expired on March 10, 2026. It was a historical digital-purchase offer, not a reward available with current purchases. • As you catch, train, and battle Pokémon, there will be plenty of people to meet too—like AZ, the enigmatic owner of Hotel Z.

Retailer-specific gifts varied by region

Store gifts were separate from the broad in-game bonus. Their eligibility could depend on the seller, country, edition or package format, preorder versus qualifying early purchase, and stock. The examples below describe announced or reported 2025 offers; they do not establish current availability.

Japan

The Pokémon Company Japan published an extensive retailer list and warned that some participating stores might not take part or could run out of stock. Listed gifts included:

  • Animate: microfiber mini cloth; Amazon Japan: in-game trench coat and pants, cutlery set, and original box; AmiAmi: B4 clear poster.
  • Aeon: gold-plated badge; Ito-Yokado: melamine plate; au PAY Market: diatomaceous-earth coaster; Edion: wristwatch.
  • Otakara Souko: button badge; Gamers: lunch mat; GEO: B6 ring notebook; San-A: clear file; Joshin: PVC sacoche.
  • Seven Net Shopping: in-game starter-dash item set and deck case; Game TSUTAYA: double-layer acrylic block; Toys“R”Us: tote bag; Don Quijote group: pouch.

  • Rakuten Books: half-cut sticker and a choice of one of ten acrylic coaster designs, with original shipping pack; Lawson/HMV: puffy stickers; Shinseido/WonderGOO: acrylic stands in Mega Charizard X or Mega Charizard Y versions.

These are items on the published Japanese inventory, not a guarantee that every listed shop participated or that any stock remains. Check the official Pokémon Japan retailer list for its store-specific terms.

Pokémon Center Japan separately announced an original A5 art book for qualifying physical early purchases of the Switch or Switch 2 edition, including specified package formats. The gift was quantity-limited and subject to availability; download cards were excluded under those terms. Pokémon Center Japan announcement

United Kingdom and Ireland

Nintendo Store UK advertised a Partner Pokémon figurine with a preorder of any version, while stocks lasted. Its paid bundles added other merchandise: the Mega Evolution Bundle included Mega Charizard X and Y figures and a pin set; the Trainer Bundle included an umbrella, mug, and cap; Champion’s Choice combined those items. The bundles were paid options, distinct from the figurine gift, and the 2025 terms do not show current availability. Nintendo UK announcement

A September 2025 roundup also reported a ShopTo sticker set. This was secondary reporting, not an official Nintendo offer statement. Contemporaneous retailer-bonus roundup

United States

The Pokémon Company US announced a Pokémon Center gift with purchase for preorders, but the available official announcement does not identify the item clearly enough to name it here. Pokémon’s US announcement

A 2025 roundup reported retailer-specific examples: a Lumiose City gamer mat from Best Buy, starter Pokémon pins from Walmart, and a tote bag from GameStop. Do not confuse the game bonuses with the Mega Dimension DLC bonus

Mega Dimension had its own early-purchase reward. Buying the DLC by February 28, 2026 granted a serial code for a Luxurious Poké Ball Set: three Fast Balls, three Lure Balls, three Level Balls, and three Heavy Balls. The code expired March 10, 2026. This was a DLC offer, separate from the original game’s Ralts and Poké Ball bonuses. Official Mega Dimension details

Nintendo Support lists Mega Dimension as compatible with both the Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2 editions. Holo-X and Holo-Y apparel items became available October 16, 2025; the additional story content, including Mega Stones for Mega Raichu X and Mega Raichu Y, became available December 9, 2025. Nintendo Support: Mega Dimension compatibility and availability

What bonus comes with a purchase now?

Nintendo lists both game editions as available through Nintendo eShop, My Nintendo Store, and participating retailers. The original Ralts claim period and digital Poké Ball code period have ended. A separate physical Nintendo Switch 2 Edition + Mega Dimension bundle is scheduled for October 29, 2026, and Nintendo says its package insert includes a code for 100 Ultra Balls. That is a bonus attached to the later bundle, not a way to claim the expired preorder offers. Bundle announcement · Official Pokémon Legends: Z-A page
