If The Division reports a server error, check Ubisoft’s live service status before changing your setup. For a PTS error, first confirm that Ubisoft has announced an active test window: the PTS is time-limited, not a permanently available version of the game. If you see MIKE-01 in The Division 2, Ubisoft defines it as a lost connection to the server, but the code alone does not identify whether the cause is local or service-side.
Are The Division servers down?
Check Ubisoft’s live service-status page and current maintenance announcements first. Ubisoft’s MIKE-01 guidance specifically recommends checking for maintenance or an outage before troubleshooting your connection. The status page can distinguish normal operation, maintenance, problems, and outages, but its displayed status can change; an older search result or a dated notice is not a reliable indication of what is happening now.
For example, Ubisoft announced five hours of scheduled maintenance beginning at 07:30 on 24 September 2026 for Amazon Luna, GeForce NOW, PC, PlayStation, and Xbox. That window had passed by 8 October 2026, so it should not be treated as evidence of a current outage.
What does the Division 2 MIKE-01 error mean?
Ubisoft says, “This error occurs when the connection with the server has been lost.” That describes the connection failure; it does not establish whether the cause is Ubisoft’s service or your own network. Check live status first. If there is no listed maintenance or outage, use Ubisoft’s connectivity steps below rather than assuming the error code identifies a specific local fault.

Why is The Division PTS unavailable?
A PTS error may mean the test is not currently open. Check Ubisoft’s current PTS announcement for the game and platform before troubleshooting the live game’s connection settings. Historical PTS guidance describes access as limited to announced test windows, and a past announcement does not establish that a test is available now.
Ubisoft’s Red Horizon announcement made the PTS available on PC through Ubisoft Connect from 14 August 2026 at 2 PM CEST until 17 August 2026 at 2 PM CEST. It estimated the build at approximately 100 GB. Those were the dates and size estimate for that specific test, not a current availability notice or a general download-size claim.

Ubisoft said it ran that PTS on PC because it could make and deploy builds more quickly in response to feedback. Console updates require additional certification, which makes the rapid turnaround needed for a PTS more difficult.
How to troubleshoot a Division server error on PC
If Ubisoft reports no service issue and you are playing on PC, work through its connectivity checks in order. Change one thing at a time so you can tell whether it affects the error.

- Test Ethernet. If practical, connect the PC to the router with an Ethernet cable and try again. Ubisoft recommends testing on a wired connection for more reliable, steady results. This is a diagnostic comparison, not a fix for an outage or a closed PTS.
- Restart network equipment. Power-cycle your router and other network hardware, then retry the game.
- Install Windows updates. Check for available Windows updates and apply them before testing again.
- Check software conflicts. Use Ubisoft’s PC connectivity guide to check for software conflicts, including a clean-boot test, then see whether the error remains.
- Run a ping test. Use the ping test described in Ubisoft’s guide to check the connection, and note the result if you contact support.
- Check network restrictions. School or workplace networks may restrict game connections. If possible, test on a network you are authorized to use that does not have the same restrictions.

Give support the exact error code and platform, along with when and where it happened, your ISP, account name, whether you were playing solo or in a group, and whether matchmaking or joining friends was involved. Ubisoft requested these details in a 2020 recap about Delta errors; treat them as useful historical reporting guidance, not a guarantee that every detail is a current universal support requirement.
